Hong Kong Speed Figures

Here the update for yesterday's racing. An extra sheet added as I had incorrect RPR ratings for a couple of meetings in February, correct ones on here. Nothing else was wrong on the sheets. I will check the updates for those in future, I don't really use them and just noticed I had an outlier for a horse yesterday.

Impressive La Cressonnière La Cressonnière . Do you include increases for say horses that have made their debut. On bare figures I suppose Motor had to be top, sectionals can cause adjustments for inefficiency and the like. Although I had Motor top, I reduced the speed figure for the last race it ran by about 13 when I realised it stood out against earlier Griffin races. Yesterday the extra furlong found Motor out and as it had run in every Griffin race prior to that was always susceptible to an improver. But as O Outlander says impressive stuff to get top. Keep up the good work.

Card tomorrow sometime.

Has anyone ever looked at South Korean racing and do they know if there's much crossover between there and Hong Kong?
Never looked pawras pawras . So had a look and seems they have just 2 International races, last year 8th September via Racing Post and no interaction with Hong Kong. All the trainers for standard races are local trainers and prize money so big in Hong Kong they rarely travel. Odd ones go to Dubai when the World Cup and the like on. Very rarely send a horse to Royal Ascot or big races in Japan. But it looks like Korea has some catching up to do with Hong Long.

The RP obviously has some interest as it isn't long since they were advertising roles connected to South Korea. And they're currently looking for a bloodstock journalist for Australia

Very interesting , do they have markets on Betfair ?, they have pretty good results downloads on their website, doesn’t seem too many meetings, not many courses, cant see any sectionals but not looked properly yet. Would be a good place to specialise like HK.

Peeps i work for have looked although it was through their own Tote system, the PMBCC based in Seoul. Not really relative but the MAXIMUM single bet allowed is around £53.00 and they don't want to entertain big players.

Probably trying to expand their coverage. Seems to be a decent amount of racing, a couple of meetings every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 3 tracks.

Probably an expanding market for the future. As ARAZI91 ARAZI91 tells us just small scale so far. But South East Asia the developing part of the world at the moment and they like their betting.

Singapore (Kranji) used to have some cracking flat racing - sadly local interest in it and attendances have dropped and last i heard they were tearing up the old racetrack. Been racing on that since the 1800's - shame.

I know in North Korea Kim Jong Un built a racetrack and tried a few race meetings but was not happy that he was only allowed to shoot the losers
He later blew up the racetrack as too many people were spotted smiling.

That's a bit naff seen as there's a lot of money in Singapore.

Anyone know why they shut down horse racing in Macau ?
I went to Macau years ago and even then it made Vegas look a bit tame for the level of mad gambling I saw
