You know what Hedgie this year I had a losing streak that lasted just over a month, I have not looked back since.
Stick to your method, once you have picked your selections don't change them, never chase.
Even when you are losing you must remain confident and believe the tide will turn(it always does).
When I was losing I told myself again and again that I was a winner, there is much to be said about the power of positivity.

markfinn markfinn, I tried my version of your idea on the 4.10 Hereford and had really super, field exhibition and Dino's benefit so caught the winner. Tomorrow in the 4.00 wetherby I have shanelough, crievehill and cracking find. Well see how those go

hedgehog hedgehog - as the song says 2 from 3 is aint bad in fact its great - if you have the staking side sorted - either way its a good indicator of if the form is working - I am sure you will find a way if bettering the idea - I generally only look at handicaps and try to get into the “ at this age - what would be the next race if it wins or loses” frame of mind
 
Thanks mlmrob mlmrob , much appreciated but at this point I'm just getting lucky. So far it's 3 from 4 and breaking even which I think is actually a bug in my spreadsheet, I think it should be 1pt up

Old boy spreadsheet isn't doing well, 2 races, no winners, 6pts lost. Now over 38pts in the hole.

From my point of view - dutching beyond two runners is not viable if a worthwhile profit is required - the odd time its is possible to include 3 even rarer is 4 - and win and place odds can be comined to get the required %. Traders might view this completely differently.
 
The old boy spreadsheet did well for a while but your right markfinn markfinn , 3pts outlay per race is tough when the results don't come.

Even the new idea you gave me is struggling under the burden of the outlay.

I'll give this some thought but I really want to keep it simple for the old boy.
