4.10 Goodwood - Tatterstall 14/1 :handgestures-thumbup: 1st 9/1 / Fair Wind 7/2 Lost

Had four shortlisted for this one and had a hard job whittling them down (other two were Lord Riddiford and JM Jungle) but finally ended up with the pair named , firstly Fair Wind who beat Albasheer by half a length last time at Ascot , that one went in in his next race. Been in decent form this year with two wins and a second from his four runs and despite a 4lb rise for that lto win i think he'll be making his presence felt. One from one over todays CD , ground and class no problem and looks well berthed. Owen Burrows sends just this one to the meeting , and has a 25% strike rate over the last three weeks and when sending his runners here he comes away with a 21% strike rate overall. Pat Dobbs in the saddle and he too is here for just this one ride , is two from two aboard the horse , and when teaming up with the trainer in the past 21 days they have a 50% strike rate. The other one i like is Tatterstall , whose been in fair form since his initial outing of the year (9th) with figures of - 3,1,4 since and im hopeful of a big run today. Has never run here at Goodwood but the fact that trainer Michael Dods sends him on the long journey from County Durham making him the longest traveller of the day here makes me think that they're expecting a decent showing. Trainer knows whats what and has been in decent form with a 17% strike rate in the last fortnight , bagged a big Handicap win last Saturday with Northern Express , and im hoping that he can do the same here this afternoon , has a 23% strike rate here at Goodwood. Connor Beasley comes here for just this one , and he knows the horse well winning twice and placing four times from his ten rides aboard the horse to date. Hopeful of a big run at decent odds.

3.00 Goodwood - Kinross 7/2 Lost (3rd) / Noble Dynasty 3/1 Lost
Two for me in this one , first up is Kinross who won this race in 2021 and 2023 and was a neck second in 2022 so i think it'd be folly to leave him out of the equation tbh , and has never been unplaced over CD so im hopeful that a return here brings out the best in him. Only managed 8th last time out but that was over 6f so i think that can be forgiven and i think the return to 7f today should see him in a better light and when you look at his record over 7f i think his record bears that out - 1,8,9,1,1,4,3,2,1,1,1,1,1,2. Ralph Beckett been in decent form with an 18% strike rate in the last two weeks , and he has a 20% strike rate when coming here this season along with a profit of +£5.50. Rossa Ryan in the plate and hes one from two aboard the horse and is having a decent season thus far , 22% strike rate over the last two weeks , and a 13% strike rate here at Goodwood overall. Shouldnt be far away come the business end of things. The other one i like is Noble Dynasty who hasnt had much racing for a 6 year old tbh , and arrives in rude health , winning his last two , the first of those wins was at Newmarket in a group 2 where he put the re opposing English Oak to the sword by two comfortable lengths and im hoping that he can do so again , last time he beat Nostrum in a group 1 by 3/4 length. Seems to be an improving sort and is in the right hands with Charlie Appleby , who has been in tremendous form lately with a 40% strike rate over the last couple of weeks and when sending his horses to Goodwood he has a 22% strike rate overall , William Buick gets the steering job and hes ridden the horse ten times resulting in five wins and a place , a 23% strike rate in the last three weeks and when he and the trainer have paired up over the same period they come away with a healthy strike rate of 35%. Should be on the premises.

3.00 Goodwood - Soldiers Heart 10/1

Few look to hold serious chances in this renewal of the Molcombe Stakes but im siding with Soldiers Heart who comes into this on the back of a decent looking 3 1/2 length win over todays CD , has to deal with the rise in class but being from the shrewd Simon Crisford stable im sure they wouldnt of entered him if they didnt think that he stood a chance and at the price im willing to have a pop. Looks a decent sort and open to improvement i think he can make his presence felt here. Trainer has been in decent form with a 23% strike rate in the past fortnight and does well when sending his runners to Goodwood with a 23.6% strike rate over the last five years along with a profit of +£7.45 , and this season he has a 33.3% strike rate when he sends his runners here. Harry Davies in the saddle and hes one from one on the horse , should be there or thereabouts i feel.

7.25 Sandown - Almudena 11/2 / Cock And Bull 9/4
I like a couple for this one , firstly the lightly raced maiden Almudena , so theres still plenty of time for her to get her head in front and hailing from the stable she does you certainly cant rule her out. Was 3 lengths behind todays rival Cock And Bull on her penultimate run and was 3 3/4 lengths behind Easy Dancer last time out , but as i say coming from the Mark Prescott stable you couldnt rule out significant improvement and at the price i think shes worth a go to bag her first win. Mark Prescott sends just this one to Sandown and hes enjoying a purple patch at the moment with a 32% strike rate over the last three weeks , and when sending his runners to Sandown he has a 27% strike rate overall. Luke Morris in the hot seat and hes ridden the horse on six of her seven starts to date without any luck , he has a 12% strike rate in the last three weeks and when riding for the trainer over the same period of time they come away with a 33% strike rate. Cock And Bull is the other one i like the look of , has run his last three races over this evenings CD with resulting figures of - 1,1,2 and since going handicapping hes yet to see outside of the first two home - 2,1,2,2,1,1,2 and i can see no reason why he shouldnt run his race once again and be bang there come the business end of things. Callum Shepherd takes the ride and hes one from one on the horse and i just cant see this one being far away.

Who do you fancy in the 13:50 @ Goodwood? Money Back As Cash race on SkyBet but I haven't got that race right for about 2 weeks now, I quite often get it wrong but I could do with a good start today. I'm leaning towards Atilla The Honey 17/2 (W Buick/C Johnston). If not, maybe Lord Of Love 6/1 (Shoemark/Gosden).

Not a betting race for me , probably would look at the first three in my ratings Lord Of LOve , Atilla The Honey and Subsequent .. but personally nothing jumps out

6.10 Musselburgh - Invincible Annice 10/1 / Music History 13/8

A couple of runners interest me in this one , first one is Invincible Annice who admittedly hasnt been seen to best effect in her last couple of races but last time out she suffered interference and i think that run can be excused as the jockey said he eased her up after that , im hoping that better can be expected here now she goes handicapping. Won on her only start here , over CD , and if at her best i think she could go close at a decent price. K Burke sends just this one north of the border and he has a 17% strike rate over the last month and has a 50% strike rate here this season / and a 25.3% strike rate over the last five years . Jockey Sam Fielden takes off a handy 7lb , and he too is here for just this one , has a 13% strike rate in the last couple of weeks and rides the horse for the first time this evening. Music History is the other selection , won as you like last time over CD , beating Go On Rosie by 3 lengths and shes 4lb well in before her revised mark kicks in so im hoping for another good showing here , Trainer Ed Bethell as just this one here this evening and hes enjoying a purple patch at the moment with a 32% strike rate in the past fortnight , whilst jockey Callum Rodriguez is in the plate and he has one win (last time) from his three rides on the horse to date , like the trainer hes seeing plenty of the winners enclosure at the moment with a 32% strike rate in the last two weeks and when coming here this season he has a 66.7% strike rate. And when trainer / jockey have combined over the past three weeks they have a 43% strike rate.

5.35 Newcastle - Ratafia 15/2 / Saisons D'Or 12/1
Open looking handicap where a handful at least look as though they could go well but im gonna side with two of the bigger priced runners and keep my fingers crossed that one of them can do the business. First one is Ratafia who arrives on the back of a decent run at Doncaster when third , that was a solid effort after 85 days off and i think he could strip fitter for that outing , and coming here to Newcastle makes me think a solid effort may well be on the cards , when last seen here he won and over todays CD he has two wins and a second from his four runs so seems to have a liking for it here. Michael Herrington sends just this one to the meeting and hes having a decent season so far , Lewis Edmunds in the saddle and hes placed on his only ride on the horse so far. When he and the trainer have teamed up in the last twenty one days they come away with a 50% strike rate. Saisons D'Or is the other one i like , not shown much last couple of runs but before that , after coming back after a lay off , racked up three second , a third and a win .. mainly on the all weather , with all the seconds coming over CD. Three wins and three seconds in total over CD from fourteen runs makes me think he likes it round here and im hoping that a return to the course brings out the best in him. Has won off higher than todays mark and the fact that Jedd O'Keefe sends just this one here caught my eye. Aiden Brookes rides for the first time and hes good value for his 3lb claim i think.

6.25 Bath - Blue Hero 11/4
Have to go with Blue Hero in this one as he seems to be a Bath specialist with all of his 8 career wins to date coming at this track , with three of them over this evenings CD (from four runs). Bit below par last time when 7th of 13 at Chepstow but won his penultimate race over CD beating A Poets Secret by 2 1/4 lengths , a repeat of that run would see him in the thick of it here. Adrian Wintle has a 20% strike rate over the last couple of weeks , and has a 17.6% strike rate over the last five years when sending his runners here along with a +20.85 profit. Cam Hardie in the plate for the first time. Should be there or thereabouts.

3.35 Goodwood - Glenfinnan 20/1

Left Andrew Baldings yard for Michael Dods back in April and in the subsequent five races for his new yard has acquitted himself fairly well and his fifth in the Wokingham reads pretty well and if he can show the same level of form then i think he should definatley be on the premises. That run in the Wokingham showed he doesnt mind the hustle and bustle of a big field and whilst you need a bit of luck in these kinds of races i think hes improving as a sprinter and is in the best possible hands for these type of distances / races in Michael Dods. Trainer sends just this one here today , had a winner earlier in the week here which we had on this thread and anything Michael Dods runs here at Goodwood warrants a second glance , especially in this race which he won in 2021/2022 .. Has a 29% strike rate overall at the course , and is 100% here this season , jockey Connor Beasley in the driving seat and he has a win and a place form his five rides to date , 11% strike rate in the last three weeks and when teaming up with the trainer over the same period they come away with a 11% strike rate. A few others catch my eye but at the prices i think Glenfinnan is worth a pop.

I was really tempted to put up Euchen Glen for the 2.25 , a great old war horse who for me you can never discount but if i think it'd be more my heart ruling my head than anything .. tho i might have a little dabble but not for the purposes of this thread .. a few others caught my eye tbh but im happy to let just Glenfinnan go for the thread today and keep my fingers crossed !
