CHELTENHAM 2026

Good day of racing but no good for me bets/money wise, even though I had a nice double with Saratoga & Johnnywho and the Henderson double, I just needed either Lulamba or another Henderson horse for a decent treble, or Mighty Park, The New Lion or McLaurey or Down Memory Lane for really big trebles.

I've still got JP McManus and Henderson bets on the go that only need one more win for decent money, and a few others, so we go again tomorrow. Good luck.

OLD PARK STAR did a time of 3.47s when winning at haydock 1m.7f 144yds eased down, i think it at least demonstrates he has the pace to cope and did win a trial on the old course here 4m. 179yds in a time of 4m.0.15s, all this tells me is regardless of the odds he's the one to beat

Cracking race T tacker looks a ready made chaser if they go that route. Well done if you got on him.

Segal & Kealy on In The Know now live, tipping different horses to what they tipped a few days ago, talk a load of bull.

Tomorrow is rock hard really, plenty of runners, not many clear favourites and even then, Romeo Coolio bit suspect and tough race, cracking race actually, and Majborough can be suspect jumping and Queen Mother has bad record for favourites, looks like it could be a lottery day.

Actually bit frustrated with yesterday, I hit every winner just not enough on the same bets. Usually I miss at least one race, but hitting them all and still losing was a bit frustrating. Never mind eh.

Act Of Innocence would be nice in 1st race to continue my Henderson bet.
So open today, e g. 1st race ..

I'll Sort That 16/1 beat Skylight Huddle before, Skylight Hustle beat Carrigmornaspruce which is fancied, Ballyfad beat Leader d'Allier, King Rasko Grey beat Shuttle Diplomacy.

2nd race....
Kitzbuhel beat Kaid d'Authie before, Thomas Mor 50/1 even close 2nd to Kitzbuhel, Oscars Brother beat Koktail Divin, Western Fold beat Galopin & Affordable Fury but got beat by Kaid d'Authie, who also beat Final Demand before.

Other races similar.

Based on this though, surely both I'll Sort That 16/1 and Kitzbuhel 14/1 are both over priced. And probably Oscars Brother.

I can feel a big E/W double coming 1st two races.

Race 1 - I'll Sort That
Race 2 - Kitzbuhel (maybe another bet with Oscars Brother)
Race 3 - Jingko Blue (maybe another bet with Kateria)
Race 4 - The Goffer (two good 2nd's at festival)
Race 5 - Il Etait Temps (value in this race I think)
Race 6 - Addragoole (or Release The Beast - Addragoole beat Release The Beast but he's 16/1 and Release The Beast is 14/1)
Race 7 - Quiryn

Skybet going 7/4 majbourough still can’t bring myself to bet it, looks a rubbish champion chase to me , I guess if he jumps properly 7/4 looks fair but , again this turners race I think every horse that’s won in last 12 years was rated 146 minimum , this favourite rated 144 , we in for something wacky winning here.
After today’s card my aim is to not be not be as skint as this blonde kid

Gordon Elliot’s horse running like millipedes with gout so far, horrific viewing if you‘ve backed any of them.
I only posted that , because it is well known that when something like that is posted then said trainer will quickly have a winner and I know a lot of people will need that extra bit of help for the favourite in the x country.

My ratings say Majborough 159 should beat Il Etait Temps 155 1/4, 3 and three quarter lengths. Not a race for me I think and bit of a supporter of Il Etait Temps but think he can't win this.

What do you think of Irish Panther? He must be regarded.

So happy for Il Etait Temps and very clear that Majborough run below form because of unable to take to fences. Lots of mistakes. I recall Majborough jumped badly in Arkle last year. Irish Panther run well but mistake at last. Very much should run in this grade.

Best day of Cheltenham I can remember. It helps when you rescue a bad 1st day as well, but every race was cracking with plenty of runners and some good/close finishes.

I bet Martator destroyed a few bets though, ruined a fair few monsters for me but good day overall.

Nice work there on a tough day, only had one bet myself Break My Soul and I thought for a good while it was going to win but couldn’t quite do it after the last.
So the highlight for me Queally v. de Boinville handbags

Handbags!

I'd have chinned the toffee nosed bast......

Regards,
An official complaint to the stewards, I noted Queally weakened badly last 20 yds could hardly push it out, think cost it 3rd, note also he has James Bowen booked for his promising mare in the first tomorrow.
I would never have moved for de Boinville at the start there, he should have laughed in his face.

I'm not sure we know what happened yet.
Apparently he thought Queally should defer to his superiority at the start and used Racist Irish slurs when reminding him of the pecking order, jostling followed in the weighing room, and de Boinville is generally considered to have been obnoxious at a minimum.
This is all reported on twitter , I wasn’t there so just what people are reporting, I hardly watch racing now but I have caught a couple of interviews this season where de Boinville has come across as appealing as a blow job from a leper.
