I know i wrote that in blues brothers page a while back times where my first and most important factor till they started watering heavily and with the rain we get on top of that exspecially when they get it wrong its useless.
I always remember on other sight i was going away for a week so i studied the whole weeks racing just to see if any my time horses where running.
There was nothing till i got to the thursday then had three they where the only ones all on same day so on the sunday before i gave three horses for thursday to bet three singles three doubles and treble.
I forgot till got home i even had them on so checked the following saturday how they went i had a 10/1 11/2 both won and a 12/1 beaten a short head as i took sp as all i could do so advanced.
So that is the power of times when ground right now i do mixture of times if ground right class if ground wrong and bits and pieces of form inbetween like collatarel form and so forth and some time you do get the odd one you feel cant get beat. like today if the ground was truely on fast side which looks unlikely now river siene would be good thing.

Thats why i dont understand the watering that goes on at tracks surely just an other ploy for bookies to make racing even tougher . Ok they will say to protect horses but more like protect breeders i have never seen a horse in a field think oh its bit hard underfoot i will walk all day today.
They run on anything thats what there made to do sure look at those cowboy films there is dust kicking up every where and there going up and down dunes liike nobodies business and there whipping it left right left right, Yet if the cowboy whistles they still trot over so seem happy to me.

I think I'm having the weekend off and hope the dry weather resumes next week. It lashed down where I am and as the crow flies York isn't that far away. Ive got plenty of work to do outside and it might be more satisfying than the horseracing. Lets hope it cheers up for Royal Ascot.

Just a little run down on ascot today .
I thought i would just run through first three in betting in each race for curious what it shows up for fun only.
2 30 ASCOT.
CHARYN This horse was beat last time out by audience was fancied after couple wins, was decent ground that day but audience not fancied in this race and possibly form isnt what first appears not sure should be fav.
FACTEUR CHEVAL Second fav now after brilliant win last time and looked a horse that was place specialist but they where all on softer going and will love ground. Would they send it over to get beat interesting runner but again differant tracks make race akward and was well beat by big rock last year but in compleatly differant ground.
BIG ROCK well as we see beat fc last year but on softer going and looks like ground all wrong this year, dissappointed against audience but surely needed race, again would they send over to get beat looks like ground every thing in this race now.
3.05 ASCOT.
As betting shows this race not worth a mention all to do with what likes ground and improves.
3 45 ASCOT.
BIG EVS.Looks like big future with great 2yold form and now won as 3yold but fav in this is massive ask against older well accomplished horses.
REGIONAL .When youy look at it wining at york over 5 fur and last twice running over 6 fur this track could be spot on over 5 fur and can see how its fancied.
ASFOORA.Unknown as in where from but surely this stiffer 6fur will surprise it late on you would think anyway but you never know with differant country horses.
4 25 ASCOT.
NOTABLE SPEECH .Won beating second fav here last time and no reason why should change round and solid classic form usually holds sway .
ROSALLION. Beat by fav last time but agin deserves to be second fav, you could argur third home in classic got closer next time so has it improved to give fav race looks unlikely.
HENRY LONGFELLOW. Typical obrien horse who failed poorly first run and the race it went for surely showed they hadnt as much high hopes for it as some others wil it bounze back to beat classic horses got to be highly unlikely.
5 05 ASCOT.
ZANNADABAD. Run great race at chester where ground was really quick and this looks similar race where ground should suit and not overly put up for that run so chance is clear and see why fav.
MY LYKA. Spanner in works here with compleat unknown of mullins horse but surely running it over hurdle would not be warm up for this just dosnt make sense to me but then again who knows with him putting tounge tie on to but surely this horse is only in first three in betting because trainer and should be bigger.
DIVINE COMEDY.Ground does look a worry to me ok won in firm before but that was run at crawl and this will be differant ok won well alst time on softer going but i think there is alot more interesting horses out side first three than this horse.

BOTANICAL.Stepping into listed class alone should make you wonder why is it fav i think surely something out side it more dangerous.
ISRAR.Well for start crawley could have had pick here and choose this one and i see why, ran at the chester meeting to so ground shoud be fine,
put blinkers on last twice and hard to say if worked but dont look to have done harm either, you could say this one droping class where as fav up in class.
TORITO.Same stable as israr and they dont seem to have thought up to same class as other one yet,But does look to have improved this year in what we seen so far and more a guess where it stands class wise but i am surprised two 4yold in first three in betting.

BELLOCCIO Again mullens at it with hurdle winner in flast race but this one at least showed it liked all weather but yet again its all down to the trainer it being fav and we will see how good he is getting this one ready to win but not greatest race so i would nto be as surprised with this one as his other one.
FOX JOURNEY. This looks a typical stoute try improving with age although you could agrue drop in class to win first time and this could be tougher.

Nope! He's contracted to ride for Shadwell, so had to ride Israr.
Ah, yes you're correct! I thought you were meaning he could have ridden Gosden's other horse Torito. Apologies. Mujtaba needs easier ground, which is probably why Crowley picked Israr.

Well was good day yesterday at ascot and only two races for me warrant mention of first three in betting.
3 05 ASCOT.
ILLINOIS.Well this horse was second to ambiente friendly at lingfield and i went on about that horse for derby which would have won on faster going so i think although well beatin second could be st leger ability, and i think likely will be fav for leger after this race.Can get 12/1 just now.
HIGHBURY.Same stable and not alot to know about it bar won last time in not bad time and tariner must think this is race it could go well but beat by birdman and would need really improve for me.
BIRDMAN.Well unbeaten so cant knock that but both races run at crawls and i think this will be more shock to system for horse than anything,
Ground should actually suit and dark horse in this but would need be special to win this i think over fav.
3 45ASCOT.
ROQUE MILLENNIUM.Was hot pot to win first time out against ocean jewel and got no luck in running but its second to tahirya is stand out form in this race.
LAUREL.Got to go back to 3yold form to find anything of note and even thats not good enough so would be some feat to bring this back to win this in my wyes anyway.
OCEAN JEWEL. As we know beat the fav last time and was nice price as was well behins roque in the tahirya race and that was because he was massive clouder that day so looks like the reverse will happen today not less improved massively this year which i doubt , I think it has improved but not enough to win this.
