Bradford City have settled well into life in League One following last season’s promotion and the Bantams will be looking to make the most of home advantage when they welcome Lincoln City to Valley Parade on Tuesday night.
With Cardiff City and Stevenage not in action, Graham Alexander’s side know that they can claim pole position in
League One with maximum points and they have lost only one of their opening 13 matches.
That is some effort given that they finished only third in
League Two last season, but they will be well aware of the threat Lincoln carry.
The Imps, currently sixth and only two points behind Bradford, can also climb into the automatic promotion spots with a win and they will be desperate to respond to Saturday’s 1-0 defeat away at Leyton Orient.
Bradford City vs Lincoln City Tips Summary
Best Bet - Bradford to win @ 6/5
Alternative Bet - Will Swan anytime goalscorer @ 21/10
Bet Builder - Bradford or draw double chance, Josh Neufville anytime goalscorer, Over 8 corners @ 15/2
Bradford City vs Lincoln City
Bradford City vs Lincoln City Prediction
Best Bet: Bradford to win @ 6/5
With only two points separating these teams in the League One play-off places, there is more than just pride at stake in West Yorkshire as the pair each chase an eighth league win of the campaign.
However, big attendances at Valley Parade have been the making of Bradford, who have amassed 16 points from six home league games, with the only dropped points coming in a 2-2 draw with Yorkshire rivals Barnsley last time out.
Prior to that share the Bantams had seen off the likes of Luton Town and Huddersfield Town and they should fancy their chances at home to Lincoln.
The Imps have lost two of their last three league games, going down 1-0 against Exeter City and Leyton Orient, and with only 18 goals scored in 13 outings, they are the joint-third lowest scorers in the top half.
Alternative Bet: Will Swan anytime goalscorer @ 21/10
With promising young forward Bobby Pointon having recently picked up an injury and veteran striker Andy Cook finding things much tougher at this level, Bradford have been relying on Antoni Sarcevic and Will Swan to provide their attacking spark.
Sarcevic, who is the Bantams’ vice captain, has scored five goals and grabbed two assists in 12 league appearances this term but he missed Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Stevenage due to a knock and may need a late fitness test to figure.
So that could leave Swan, who has four goals and two assists, as the player to focus on for Bradford and he may even lead the line.
Bradford City vs Lincoln City Bet Builder Tip
- Bradford or draw double chance
- Josh Neufville anytime goalscorer
- Over 8 corners
Pays 15/2
Valley Parade is proving a fortress for Bradford with their six home league games yielding five wins and one draw. That unbeaten record should remain intact on Tuesday.
Josh Neufville has thrived as a wing back for Bradford since arriving from AFC Wimbledon and the energetic 24-year-old looks an interesting anytime goalscorer candidate.
Neufville has three goals in his last six league appearances and, while he has failed to net in his last two outings, he still had a total of three shots.
Finally, Bradford’s home league games this season are averaging 12.33 corners per outing and these two promotion hopefuls should get in plenty of dangerous areas.
