VDW my take on races today

Thanks Chesham, and thanks to everyone for the info about Ebb.

Sugarloaf Lenny ran well, overcame the bad draw with the minimum of fuss and just got ran out of it. The conundrum is still not fully resolved about his ability to stay 10 furlongs.

I think the first 3 ran well and will be winning soon, it will be interesting to see if the trainer preserves with 10 furlongs or drops back to 8 or 9.

It will be interesting to see what the Stride Data is for todays race

I think a 8f race with an even or fast pace would see this horse at its best

A crude version of the class 4 at Windsor today.
See attachment.

For me a race to watch as I cant make up my mind, 4 against the field would be the The whipmaster,Fast steps,Mighty bandit and Diamond rigger.
Out of these I'd pick Diamond rigger although not a C or D WINNER.
It took ages to do this way, so will have to try and pick a dif way or get a automated version sorted.

good luck with yours

Well that was very good 11/2
Plus the first 4 home.
The only down side was I spelt it wrong should have been ranger not rigger.
🥳

Hi Michael231 Michael231, is it OK if I corrupt your thread with a VDW mechanical procedure?

Yarmouth (Good) Mkt odds at 10.30.
4.35 Early mkt expected no's 1, 4 indicating a win restricted to these. High draw adavantage.

1. Summer Of Love (1/1 mkt) 14. £67 class.
3. Azure Angel (9/1) 5*. £58 class
4. Rosy Affair (9/2) 17. £45 class, draw 3rd best.
6. Princess Shabham (12/1) 10*. £123 top for proven class, draw 2nd best
7. Alcazar (12/1) 11* £55 class, draw best
8. Apeeling (14/1) 16 £43 class

MY comment: VDW three to consider for consistency Azure Angel, Princess Shabham, Alcazar. Summer Of Love looks short opposite the risk?
ATR form verdict in comparison with the above
SUMMER OF LOVE has shown improved form since fitted with a hood (retained) the last twice, most recently running out a comfortable winner over 7f at Epsom. Provided this drop to 6f is of no hinderance to the daughter of Dark Angel, she should prove tough to stop off 3lb higher. Rosy Affair has hit the woodwork on her last two starts and, if the application of a tongue-tie can eke out some improvement, she should go well. Kitai is also of some interest.
Top Tip: Summer Of Love (1)
Watch out for: Rosy Affair (4)
Time form
There should be more to come from SUMMER OF LOVE and she's taken to strike again down in trip. Rosy Affair continues in top form, shaping best at Newmarket last time, and is a big player. Azure Angel caught the eye at Kempton and could be in the hunt if backing that up returned to turf.
Summer Of Love (1)
Rosy Affair (4)
Azure Angel (3)

Nice to hear from you. No I don't mind.
Have not managed to get on the computer of late as I now have one of my grandsons living with us, as his new school is just up the road from me, so he stays the week and uses the computer plus Cathy has me in the garden doing paving moving the greenhouse and general dogsbody so don't get much chance of getting to look at much apart from using the mobile.
I will try to have a look at the race if possible.
Good luck with yours.

Michael231 Michael231, this as an extra for the Yarmouth 4.35. I have evolved a way of compiling a tissue for VDW, as you know I like to compare my idea of odds with the actual market.
This is my punters' tissue versus the betting market at 3.15pm and it should be interesting to see the result.

1. 1/1 (at 3.15) 6/1 (VDW rating odds required)
3*. 15/2 -10/3
4. 5/1 - 15/2
6*. 12/1 - 9/2
7*. 11/1 - 9/2
8. 16/1 - 6/1

Sorry no excel file today as takes to long to do and have not got much automating ability myself.
Apart from that.
I would swerve Sandown today nothing seems to stand out.
At Beverley I like the 4.18 5f race.
Like the look of the top weight Alligator Alley and Glory hyde.
Of these two I'd go with Glory hyde mainly because the jockey having won on it before.
I don't see a hold up horse winning this race, but here to be shot at if wrong.
Only a quick pick loosely on VDW.

Diff approach today with the same outcome hopefully of a VDW winner

The 2 from the field for me would be:
Arthur's realm a good jockey booking down in weight has won over distance works on the going a good bet at the odds and Aviemore in that order
