The 2.5 goal market trial...

I'm SE London... near Dartford in fact. Though if I'm honest, my free time is quite rare at the moment. I've just started a new job (in Essex) and free weekends are proving to be few and far between right now, but sometime in the future might work.

Used to live in Dartford for many years paulb164 paulb164 before we moved out to Culverstone. I actually worked in the Corals bookies (town centre one) for a while and my locals were the Malt Shovel, Tiger, Royal Oak amongst others.
Good days, just a bit warmer where we are now

...... Just seen this paulb164, looks quite interesting. Where does the average goals calculator come from? Is it available on the Internet? Shall watch with interest on this, always interested in how/when systems look to have a decent chance of working. Good luck fella!:)

I set it up in XLS (see attached) - you need to have the stats for the teams' season records to date for H and A (goals scored and conceded at home for the home team, and away goals scored and conceded for the away team).

I also double check the league's volatility (i.e. how likely the predictions will happen) by checking Soccervista's league overview;
Soccer leagues ordered by betting index

I usually avoid leagues with group 4 or 5 ratings as they don't go to plan very often with the predictions based on past performance

...... thanks paulb164 quite a smart piece of equipment. May have a play around with this when I get a minute. many thanks for the copy.:handgestures-thumbup:

I see that after 73 mins the Corinthians v Ceara game is 2-1.... I have to admit I thought it was going to be a 2-0 win to the home side, and not a game I would have bet on the under 2.5 goals. I did however bet on the O 1.5 goals based on my prediction :D - the starting price at kick-off was a massive 1.59 !

Today's and tomorrow's Brasil games;

The avg goal calc for the qualifying match reckons 2.51 goals so make of that what you will. My gut thinks it might stay under 2.5 with both teams in the bottom 3 of the table with low goals scored records... I would expect a hard-fought match with a single goal deciding it ?

Well, that last game finished 2-0, and I reckon it still would have finished as I thought with a single goal had the away team not conceded 2 late red cards, and the home team scoring an injury time goal against what would have been a tired team by then. Still, finished under 2.5 goals which was the main thing.

...... so how often do selections for the Under 2.50 goals market, come along? Does this happen when matches are highlighted by your system, or just when you have time to have a look at these markets? ;)

I try to catch all the games as they happen with a day's notice, although to be honest there are one or two games that do slip through, but they are rare. Also, it's not just under 2.5 goals it highlights... it is supposed to highlight the high potential of whether it is either below or above 2.5 goals by using a rating based on goals scored in the teams' last 4 games.

And so, the end of the international break brings the domestic leagues back ! I'm always a bit wary of domestic games after a break of any sort, so treat with caution.

Sweden and China games this weekend;

....... looks quite impressive there paulb164. Good looking tables and will be interesting to see just how they actually perform. Good to see a different perspective. :handgestures-thumbup:
