5.35 Chester - Sea Grey 11/2 / Rich Belief 8/1

A few of these look as though they could go well but theres two in particular who interest me the most , first of those is Sea Grey who comes into this on the back of a fifth (of six) last time out , but there are excuses for that run as he did suffer some inteference and i think he is better judged on his previous two outings , both of which he won and both here at Chester , first one over CD and then over 1m6f on his penultimate run. One from one over CD and two from three at the course overall , and it caught my eye that Frannie Norton rode to him to both those wins , making him 2/2 on the horse to date , and he rides Chester well with a 13% strike rate overall. When Donald McCain Jr sends one out on the flat over these sort of distances its always worthy of a closer inspection and when he has sent his runners here this season he comes away with a 33.3% strike rate and a profit of +£22.00. Rich Belief is the other one i like the look of , was fifth to the other selection in his last outing but before that beat Wind Your Neck In over todays CD , making him one win and one place from two runs over CD. You can never discount an Irish raider and Karl Thornton has a 57% strike rate when sending his horses over from the Emerald Isle to Chester overall so all his runners here warrant respect. Robbie Colgan has a 100% strike rate when coming over to ride here and he was on the horse when it won over CD. Dont think either of these pair will be far away and both should be making their presence felt.

3.07 Beverley - Bella Kopella 10/1 / Glory Hyde 5/1
Another race where a few of the runners look as though they could go close but once again theres a couple in the race who i think could go particularly well .. Glory Hyde comes into this in decent form , winning last time out over CD , beating the re opposing Bella Kopella by 3/4 length and despite the 2lb rise i cant see any reason why she shouldnt be fighting out the finish here today , hasnt won from a mark this high but only three years old so well within reason to think she could win from this sort of mark. Been in decent form this season with two wins and two seconds from her seven runs to date , one from one over CD and everything leads me to believe that she'll be on the premises once again. Roger Fell & Sean Murray sends just this one to the meeting and the inform Callum Rodriguez , 21% strike rate over the last three weeks , back in the saddle after steering her to that last time out win. Top weight Bella Kopella is my other choice , as stated above was beaten by Glory Hyde but then was a poor 8th at Pontefract , alot more to like about her lto fifth of sixteen over CD , and i think she can make her presence felt. Rarely runs a bad race over todays CD with two wins and three places from her seven races to date and has won off higher than todays mark so for me that puts her firmly in the picture. Nigel Tinkler and Rowan Scott have an 11% strike rate when teaming up over the last three weeks and the jockey is here for just this one ride , has won three times and placed in a further three rides on the horse.

6.40 Chelmsford - Miss Bella Brand 10/1 / Daytona Lady 9/2
Another race and another brace , im a poet and didnt know it ! .. Anyways its the two top weights that interest me , Miss Bella Brand comes into this on the back of a 112 day break which concerns me slightly as she may well need the run but shes gone well here (CD) before and looks to me to be fairly well drawn , and she looks to be on a decent mark having won from higher so im hopeful of a decent run. Trainer hasnt had a winner for a while but has been amongst the placings so happy enough that her string are in fair form at least , Kaiya Fraser in the hot seat , has a place from two rides to date. Shouldnt be far away. Daytona Lady is my other fancy , been in decent enough form and does well when running here at Chelmsford with two wins and three places from six runs at the course overall , and over CD shes had five runs resulting in a win and three places so couldnt discount her chances i think. Already on the score sheet three times this year and a fourth could be in the offing , as ive said before i rate Ruth Carr highly and she has an 11% strike rate when coming here from her North Yorkshire base , and she seems to do well over these sort of distances, James Sullivan takes the ride and he has three wins and two places from his eleven rides aboard the horse. Both should be there or thereabouts i feel.

5.20 Sandown - Good Earth 5/1
Was gonna leave this race alone cos it looks a trappy affair , and i do like a couple of others namely Lil Guff and Miss Show Off , but after a deeper look ive settled on just the one and thats Good Earth. Does well when coming here with a win and a place from two runs , both over todays CD and it caught my eye that hes won off 89 before and gets in here off 81 so to me eye that would have to give him a good chance here , especially as he comes into this on the back of a solid run last time where he beat Above by a length and a half at Newmarket. That win came on soft but he has won on good-soft , good and goof-firm so seems pretty versatile when it comes to underfoot conditions. Draw doesnt look to bad and i think he can go close. Trainer Michael Herrington in good form at the moment with a 25% strike rate over the last couple of weeks and Benoit De La Sayette here for just this one ride , 16% strike rate over the last two weeks and is one from one aboard the horse and trainer / jockey have a 100% strike rate when teaming up over the last three weeks.

Could be a couple more to add , waiting til the morning to see what the prices are like as not happy with them at the moment.

In the 3.07 Beverley where i have gone for Bella Kopella and Glory Hyde im gonna give an honourable mention to Callianassa , trainer Brian Elllison has a 27% strike rate over the last two weeks and since the 27th August his figures read - 2,1,1,1,1,1 so definatley has his stable in good order .. jockey Ben Robinson has a 30% strike rate over the same period and in the last three weeks the pair come away with a 40% strike rate when they team up.
Trainer runs two tomorrow
2.35 Travel Candy 25/1
3.07 Callianassa 20/1

And one of those was Glenfinnan who was longest traveller of the day (1.50 Sandown) , i wanted a bigger price than it was when i looked and it was still the same sort of price this morning so left it alone , what happens ? it wins 13/2 ... which in reality is a decent price and would of paid for the day .. i really have to think things through better sometimes

3.55 Ascot - Fresh 11/4 / Rohaan 3/1

Double handed in this one , Rohaan hasnt been in the best of form but his course form gives me hope for a decent run , as does the recent rain , rarely runs a bad race here at Ascot with five wins from nine runs over this afternoons CD , hasnt won since October 2023 when he got his head in front here. Has won off higher marks than todays which is another things that caught my eye , and all things considered i think theres a good chance he can get himself back on track here and put in a big run. Tom Queally in the saddle for his only start of the meeting and hes been amongst the winners lately with a 21% strike rate over the last couple of weeks. Fresh is the other one i like , decent third last time over 7f here at Ascot and before that a sound second over 6f , again here , usually runs a decent enough race when coming here with one win and three placings from his seven runs over CD , Has gone up 2lb for that last time out effort , but as i say that was a sound run and hes won from higher marks than todays which gives me hope that he can go well once again. Wont mind the ground as he seems to go on any going , and although hes now 7 i dont think hes ready to be a back number just yet. James Fanshawe is a shrewd trainer and i dont think he'd be running him if he didnt think he stood a good chance of getting his head in front , stable going well at the moment with a 25% strike rate in the past fortnight. The talented Billy Loughnane takes the ride , ridden him once before (last time) when he was a close up second , hopefully he can go one better here today.

8.00 Wolverhampton - Jojo Rabbit 10/1 / Maharajas Express 14/1
Open looking race where ive gone with two decently priced runners who i think can go better than their prices suggest , first of those is Jojo Rabbit , been a bit below his best the last twice but before that was running respectably with his last win coming at Doncaster back in July. Has won from a higher mark than todays and returning to Wolverhampton will hopefully kick start a return to form as he rarely runs badly here with four wins from his six runs (CD) , JP Sullivan in the hot seat , has won and placed on the horse before and Ruth Carr , as ive said before , is one of those trainers you cant write off. Maharajas Express is the other one i like the chances of , would have to up his game a bit but does well here with a win and a place from his two runs over CD , only second start for trainer Pat Morris so chances cant be written off just yet. Jack Doughty in the saddle for the first time and takes off a handy 5lb , good value for his claim i think and can definatley be there or thereabouts i think.

4.20 Kempton - Heathcliff 11/4
Heathcliff has taken well to handicaps , is now three from four and three of them have been here at Kempton and i feel that another big run could well be on the cards as i dont think hes finished improving just yet. Won his last two , and i think theres every chance that the three timer could be got here , looks decently drawn and has the assistance of the in form Saffie Osbourne from the saddle for the first time , 20% strike rate over the last two weeks , Jamie Fanshawe as i said earlier is a trainer who knows the times of day and he has an 18% strike rate when coming here. Cant see him going down with out a fight , should go close.

2.25 Haydock - Oneforthegutter 7/1 / Euchen Glen 18/1
Oneforthegutter caught my eye for this one , mainly due to the fact that Ryan Moore has been booked to ride it for the first time , for me thats an eyecatching booking , was a solid third in the Ebor last time and since returning to action in June hes been running well with three places from four outings , and given the fact that Moore is booked today im assuming they're hoping for another good run. One from one here at Haydock , hasnt won at the distance but has placed in three of his five attempts at it which makes me think he'll surely get his head in front sooner rather than later. Ryan Moore has a fantastic 53% strike rate over the last three weeks whilst trainer Ian Williams has a 16% strike rate. I cant let my old friend Euchen Glen go unbacked , he may be old as ive said before but i think its folly to leave him out of the equation as hes still more than capable of making his presence felt when it matters. A CD winner hes won from marks higher than todays and i think anything that Jim Goldie sends south of the border warrants a second look , Daniel Muscutt is in fine form with a 19% strike rate over the last three weeks and he takes the ride for the first time.

4.05 Brighton - Spring 10/3

I think topweight Spring could go well in this one , broke her maiden tag last time out when beating the re opposing Cassandraalexender (and Lift Lady back in third , a further 1 1/4 lengths back) by a length and a half over this afternoons CD and i think theres every chance that she can confirm that outcome again here. Has a 6lb penalty to contend with but won that race a shade cosily and im fairly confident of another decent run. Richard Hughes sends just this one to the meeting and he has a 22.4% strike rate over the last four weeks along with a profit of +£21.25 , and he does well when sending his runners to Brighton with a 21% strike rate overall. Finley Marsh was in the saddle last time and hes re united with the horse once again today , and he has a 15.4% strike rate over the last month alongside a profit of +£20.44 , and when trainer and jockey have paired up in the last three weeks they have a 28% strike rate. Should be in the mix.

4.40 Brighton - Fighting Poet 10/3 / Cloudy Rose 7/1
A couple catch my eye in this race , firstly Fighting Poet who arrives on the back of a win last time out , over todays CD , that was his first win in his 20 runs to date and i have a feeling that now he has got his head in front he may well be the type to follow up. Only won by a neck and has a 3lb rise to carry but i think he can eek out a bit more and hopefully that wont hinder his chances. Billy Loughnane was on board that day , his first ride , and hes onboard again today , been in decent form with a 15.9% strike rate in the last month and a healthy enough +£11.83 profit. Richard Philips has just this one here today and he has a 40% strike rate over the past four weeks and a +£33.00 profit to boot and when Loughnane has ridden for him over the last three weeks they come away with a 100% strike rate. Shouldnt be far away. Cloudy Rose is the other one i like the chances of , seems to save her best for this course with three of her four career wins coming here at Brighton (over CD) , decent enough third last seen which hopefully will have her spot on for this. Has been running over 2 miles and 1m6f of late but takes a drop in trip which i think will help her chances. John Berry sends just this one here and he has a 17% strike rate over the last three weeks , and has a 22% strike rate overall when sending his runners here. Adam Farragher in the hot seat and hes ridden the horse seven times to date resulting in two wins , has a 10% strike rate when coming here to ride. If on song i think she can make her presence felt.

5.50 Brighton - Otago 7/2 / On Song 11/4
Two for me in this one as i cant split em tbh , Otago generally runs well at this CD with three wins and two places under his saddle and he comes into this after a fine effort in second lto over todays CD , beaten a neck , if in the same frame of mind i can see him going close here. Has won from much higher marks than todays , and Jim Doyle does okay when sending his runners here with a 12% strike rate overall. Charlie Bennett in the saddle on his sole ride of the day and he knows the horse well having won on him five times and placing in a further nine. Should be there or thereabouts. On Song is the other one i like , won over CD on his penultimate run beating Kracking by a length and a quarter , werent quite in the same form last time when only managing seventh but im hopeful that he can get back on track here today. Only had three starts over 7f , and his best runs have come over this distance - 3,3,1 so for me thats ground for optimism. One from one over CD , Billy Lougnane was onboard for that penultimate run and hes back in the driving seat today. As i said above hes been in decent form lately. George Boughey has a 27% strike rate when coming here and over the last three weeks when teaming up with the jockey they have a 13% strike rate.

8.30 Wolverhampton - Next Second 17/2 / Q Twenty Boy 11/2
Open looking race where im siding with two against the field , Next Second is the first of those , been a bit hit and miss of late but hopefully a return here will see her get back on track as all her four career wins have come here at Wolverhampton over CD , along with three places , so obviously has a liking for it round here. Joanne Mason gets the ride , her only ride of the day , and shes won on the horse before , doing well riding here this season with a 22.9% strike rate and a profit of +£22.12. Ruth Carr also doing well here this term with a 17.8% strike rate , along with a small profit of +£6.50 , and overall she has a 12.9% strike rate and a thumping +£40.13 profit. Also like the chances of Q Twenty Boy , been in decent enough form and like Next Second seems to like it here at Wolverhampton , a win and three places from eight runs over CD , and four wins and six places overall. Won three times (two of those round here) this term and i think theres a good possibilty that he could notch his fourth success of the season tonight. Alicia Perkins in the plate on her sole ride of the night and she claims a handy 7lb , does well on the horse with three wins and four places from her fifteen rides to date and she has a 33% strike rate here this term and a tidy profit of +£23.00. Mark Usher is another that does well here , this season he has a 19.1% strike rate here and a profit of +£24.53 so anything he sends here is worth a second look.

6.30 Wolverhampton - Dawn Of Liberation 7/1 / Lady Of Arabia 7/1
Was dithering over this race due to the fact i had 6 of interest but after having a good look at it have plumped for a couple who i think could go well , firstly Dawn Of Liberation , hasnt won for a while has to be said but as a result has been steadily falling in the weights and has run well from much higher marks than todays and i think theres a chance that he could go well here today , it caught my eye that hes placed on his sole start over this evenings CD and that Luke Morris was onboard that day on his only ride on the horse to date , interesting to see him reunited with the horse here , does well here at Wolverhampton with an overall strike rate of 12%. Lady Of Arabia is the other one , placed on only runs here , twice overall and once over CD , been running okay this year , winning at the beginning and placing a couple of times as well , noticed that she wears first time cheekpieces which could work the oracle and see her back on track , trainer Eve Johnson Houghton sends just this one here tonight and Clifford Lee takes the ride , has won on the horse before (two rides to date) and i think she can go close here if headgear has the desired effect.

I follow that one as well i think maybe to much weight this time but GL because their are no absolutes in racing with all the multi factors involved.

Won off higher mark before and i think the jocks 7lb claim will help as well , fingers crossed

8.30 Wolverhampton - Next Second 17/2 Unplaced / Q Twenty Boy 11/2 Unplaced

6.30 Wolverhampton - Dawn Of Liberation 7/1 Unplaced / Lady Of Arabia 7/1 :handgestures-thumbup: 1st 17/2

6.05 Catterick - Mutanaaseq 13/2 / John Kirkup 9/2

A couple catch my eye in this one , first one is Mutanaaseq who ran his best race for a while when third last time out , over todays CD , which added to his decent record here , four wins and four places over CD from seventeen runs , one of those wins include winning this race last year. Hes now 10lb lower than when winning that race so to me looks handily weighted if he can put his best foot forward. Ruth Carr has four out today but only this one comes here and she has an 11% strike rate overall at the course , whilst David Nolan gets the leg up for the first time , has a 12% strike rate in the last two weeks and a 20% strike rate when coming here this season. John Kirkup is the other one on my radar , has been in decent form of late - 3,5,2,3,2 in last five races , and if arriving in the same sort of form then i think he should be making his presence felt. Has never won here at Catterick but usually runs well , with two places from his two runs over CD and six places from eleven outings at the course overall. Has won from much higher marks than todays and he looks decently berthed to me , so im hopeful of him going close. The inform Ben Robinson takes the reigns for the first time and over the last couple of weeks he has a 27% strike rate along with a healthy +£14.75 profit and when riding at Catterick he has a 16% strike rate overall.

6.30 Newcastle - Bellagio Man 22/1 / Quintus Arrius 16/1
Probably way off base here but i think theres a couple of big priced runners in this who could go close if they're anywhere near their best. The first one of those is Bellagio Man who hasnt really shown much this year but has been dropping in the weights as a result and is now well below his last winning mark and to me , at the price , is worth a pop. Has won a couple of times over this evenings CD , and also placed a further four times , and given hes only won four races in total (three of them on the all weather) i think theres a bit of hope that he could go well here. The booking of 5lb claimer Alex Jary for the first time caught my eye , hes been doing well of late with a 19% strike rate in the last four weeks , and when teaming up with trainer Anthony Brittain over the last three weeks the pair come away with a 25% strike rate. Quintus Arrius is the other horse im looking at , the thing that i noticed about this one is that hes only won one race on the all weather (February 2023) and that was over tonights CD making him one from one here and im hoping that a return to the course and the all weather (as hes been running on the turf this year) will help to spark a revival. Has won off a higher mark than todays , and though hes been in the doldrums for a while now , though run a couple of decent races , hes only four so i think its far to soon to be writing him off. Peter Niven sends just this one out today and he has a 25% strike rate over the past twenty one days and has got Daniel Tudhope in the plate for the first time , has a 22% strike rate over the past fortnight and on the whole does well when riding here with a 16% strike rate overall. As i say probably on the wrong track here , but i do think that if they can come into this 100% then both hold a fair chance (hopefully!!)
