• Hi Guest, The forum will be moving hosts on 26 July and as such will be closed from Midday until the move has completed.
As we will be with new hosts it may take a while before DNS get updated so it could take while before you can get back on the forum.
I think it will take at least 4 hours but could easily be 48!

  • Sorry for the ongoing issues that you may have been experiencing whilst using the forum lately

It really is frustrating when the forum slows down or Server Error 500 pops up.

Apparently the hosts acknowledge there is a problem.
Thank you for using our services and sorry for the experienced delay!
Unfortunately, these errors are due to a higher server load. Our senior department knows about the issue and they are working towards a permanent resolution of the issue, however, I'd advise you to consider using our new cPanel cloud solutions: https://www.tsohost.com/web-hosting

I will have to investigate what the differences are with what We have know compared to the alternative service they want us to migrate to.
    Keep safe.

Ew guesses

First time posting on here and as the title suggests i look for horses at an ew price that i hope will go close, Tomorrow's selection is Checkitout in the 1-15 at Southwell it is a 7-1 shot with 365 ,the reason i am interested in this horse is its first run this season was in a race at Uttoxeter won by Demachine which has turned out to be decent form . I thought it would have won at Ludlow next time up but for falling at the tricky 4th last its next run was also a good one at Bangor but a disappointing run at Market Rasen in December has resulted in a 7 week rest which i hope can lead to a return to form

Beginners luck today results in a nice little winner, tomorrow's guess is a bit more speculative but i think the price justifies a bet. The horse in question is Beat Le Bon in the 6.40 at Newcastle available at 16s with Hills and 365, the reason for the selection is the horse is on its second run back from a break it finished behind a few of these on its comeback but the market drift before the race told a story , i just think the trainer who is in decent form wouldn't send it all the way to the toon for a breath of fresh air

Just had an early look ahead to Saturday's racing and I've been drawn to Fingerontheswitch in the 3 35 at Kempton available at 20/1 4 places ew,the reason i fancy this is the change in ground this horse prefers the better ground and won at Kempton in January last year over 3mile on good ground ,the jockey rides him well and she may able to claim the full 7lbs off him and off 9-7 i think he has a fair ew chance.

A bit of a disappointing run ftom Saturday's selection but it turned out to be a strange race with Johnson setting a mad pace on Mellow Ben .I am going to stick with a Millie Wonnacott ride tomorrow and iam hoping her claim will help Hirjan in the 1 30 at Plumpton tomorrow, available at 25s id like to think the horse can get in the first 3 and hopefully win. The short priced favourite has an obvious chance but Hirjan is back down to a decent mark and has tended to show her best form at this time of year on better ground ,i dont know if she will be fit enough after the break but im prepared to take a chance at that price

A non runner on Monday so on tomorrow and the one to look at is Bellevarde Express 3 10 Wincanton available at 20/1 4 places. The reason i am keen on this horse is the drying ground he won in good style at Doncaster on decent ground last January, so far this season it has shown a glimmer of ability in novice hurdles but now handicapping on better ground i am hoping for a decent run

A decent ew bet for me tomorrow is Bay Of Intrigue 3 35 Huntington at 6/1 on the sportsbook having its first run for Tom Symonds who has a decent run this season with stable switchers,i liked its run at Hereford in November when he he fell at the last where he would probably have finished 2nd on that run i would hope he could finish in the first 3 here

Im pretty keen on Timeless Beauty in the 157 at Ayr tomorrow, she is available at an ew price of 7/1 returning to the scene of her victory in January ,another mare i selected a couple of weeks ago Hirjan is down to run at Hereford unfortunately its only a 5 runner race so cant be an ew selection but ive had a little bit on at 11s with Hills

A good day today a 3rd and a winner, im going to play again tomorrow while in in form and the selection is Kenyan Cowboy available at a general 12s 4 places, the reason for the bet is the drop in trip ive watched his last run and the horse made a move down the far side and came into the straight looking threatening but the weakened with 2 furlongs left, im hoping the drop back to 2 miles on a more galloping track than his last 2 runs will result in a decent run.

A horse runs tomorrow at Cheltenham with i believe its ideal conditions that is 3 miles on decent ground, Musical Slave is the horse in question he has had jumping issues so far this season but at 12/1 with 4 places i am going to play good luck to any one who follows me in

Very disappointed with the performance of Musical Slave yesterday never put into the race at anytime seemed to have a nice school round at the back of the field, Anyway we go again and tomorrow's selection runs in the 1 50 Uttoxeter it is I'd Better Go Now at around 7/1 the reason behind this is the horse has won 3 from 8 over hurdles each one coming after a significant break , it is now over 100 days since its last run and im hoping the break will have put him spot on and the Skelton's can get back to winning ways away from Cheltenham.

A non runner on Saturday but i am going to keep an eye out for him as i am pretty sure he is ready to win , Tomorrow's pick is Some Chaos in the 2 10 at Kelso the horse had made 2 previous visits to the course and won both admittedly both were chases but they were class 2 events that he won off marks of 138 and 139 ,he turns up tomorrow in class 4 hurdle of a mark of 120 after a recent spin at Doncaster, all in all i think he has a massive chance tomorrow and at around 6/1 is a confident ew choice

I was disappointed that Some Chaos couldn't make the frame today only consolation is i beat the price !! Anyway on to Taunton 5 15 tomorrow and a horse i selected on its last run Belvarde Express available at around 11s i was expecting a better run last time on the sounder surface unfortunately they had a lot of rain at Wincanton that day which made the ground desperate hopefully we get better weather tomorrow and hopefully a better result

After being well supported Tuesday's selection went lame after leading over the first four hurdles, hopefully the horse will recover and im hoping to do the same after a poor run of guesses has eaten into my profit . Im going on the Flat for 2 horses on Saturday the first is Beat le Bon available at 16s generally this horse has been crying out for a return to a mile and should be fit as flea after 3 runs since February . The other horse i have backed is Danyah at 12s 7places with Sky i cannot see this selection not being in the first 7, the gelding won first time out last season at Doncaster and would be a fitting winner to the memory of Hamdan Al Maktoum
