Top 20 Trainers

I think the best way is not the top trainers, and not the 'lesser' trainers, but those somewhere between, or even, just below the top trainers. An example would be Gavin Cromwell in Ireland. Obviously the top 3 are meant to be Mullins, Elliott, Bromhead, yes, Cromwell is no doubt No.4, but the odds for Mullins, Elliott and Bromhead are shorter just because it's Mullins, Elliott and Bromhead, and it's the same for Cromwell but I don't think it's to the same level, and he wins with bigger odds horses more often than the top 3 e.g. 14/1 winner yesterday. I think Cromwell is the best trainer to back in Ireland.

For UK, same thing, skip Nicholls, Henderson & Skelton as they're too short, and shorter than they should be, so it might be better to go for the top trainers 'below these 3' e.g. Olly Murphy, Fergal O'Brien, Jamie Snowden, Venetia Williams etc.

I'm going to have a few weeks skipping the TOP trainers and focussing on those below, see how I get on. Good luck.

We take our view of the current season's top 20 trainers and arrange them in an order of merit and we add an increment to any of their runners placed in their last outing of the current season. In addition we also now take the latest success info for the runners that is available as confirmation.

Just a heads up, the National Hunt trainers championship ends 26/04/25, so Friday 27/04/2025 it will reset with this years stats, so if you want last years stats now is the time to get them.

I have Skelton £52,698 up on W P Mullins, and Mullins only has £46,100 in prize money available with his UK entries, but for some reason, they're not saying Skelton has won it yet.

Been trying the new season flat but found that the artificial surface form is mainly out of sync with trurf racing. Just compiled a list of the top ten jumps trainers for this week to checkout. Ayr could be difficult as there is a different clique of trainers and N Alexander is the top track yard but doesn't figure in my overall top ten leader board for the season, however, we can see if any of mine are being supported by connections and that may be the best indicator for betting.

OK overall yesterday at Ayrbut it looks even more of a conumdrum today with the going forecast as heavy in places, and the query is supported by the number of withdrawals. It's onwards but it may not be upwards today, just keep on because something has to win every race. Top track jock DR Fox is riding a few for Lucinda Russell so that could be a hint.
