Todays selection.

Gardener - 5.40 Utt.

Has had a highly productive first season since switching to Mike Sowersby's yard and Charlie Maggs gets on with him well.

He is an established distance performer who handles a 2½-mile trip and dropping back to a class 4, I expect him to go well.

Currently 9/1 B365, 3 places.

Well done B billybob with a decent place landed. A profit is a profit. mtoto mtoto who sadly is no longer alive, operated in the longer priced selections. He broke his stake into 20% on the win and 80% on the Place. He said that quite often the 80% that placed often paid more than the Favourite winning

Best Night - 4.40 Stratford

Best Night has shown a clear preference for quick, summer jumping ground,

Off 99, which is the same handicap mark she ran off when winning at Huntingdon.

No disgrace trying to give 11lbs to Beorma, who has since gone on to win 4.

Rian Corcoran is good value for his 5lb claim.

Currently 9/2 B365 4 places.

Turpin Gold - 2.20 W

He made his first start over fences at Stratford in late May after a six-month break. He ran an encouraging third of five, but I thought the jockey gave it quite a bit to do, before it stayed on well, despite being slightly hampered late.

Lacey has a decent record of improving horses once they switch from hurdles to chasing.

Currently 6/1 B365.
