RPR Ratings To Get Winners

As you can see from my use of the RPR ratings it gives you an idea of how they can be used to find contenders for a race. the top 2 Harrogate and High Security are strong contenders with Van Gerwin also in the mix.
High Security is the strongest with his rating being a recent winning run a CD win though he came 2nd and inherited the race
Harrogate Rating is from last september and has not come close since and as a 7yr old may be on a downward slide
Van Gerwin Rating from October last year and as Harrogate not been near since and is a 9 yr old
That is my interpretation of the race and open to debate, your advice , criticisms are most welcome to help to better this system

I'm racking/recking/wracking my brain to try to remember what I used to use when I used to buy the RP paper, K kralken.
Pretty sure it was what they called the "adjusted ratings" those days.
I found they were a good pointer.
Not at all sure it was the same as your figures.

All the best with the method!

So basically my ratings are to do with Recent runs and when they were achieved
High Security was his last race
Dapper Man His best last year was a 75 with the adjusted rpr he is 82 but that was on the A/W below my evaluation of 3 other runners he is joint 4 he has achieved a 70 this year making him a 77 now at the age of 8 is he able to achieve last years rating ? As of yet he has not shown he can and may be on the downgrade this is my reading of the race Now he may be able to achieve it with conditions in his favor at the moment he has not shown me enough to suggest he will and that is why i have not chosen him
TheBluesBrother TheBluesBrother i do not take your suggestion lightly as your speed figures are as good as they get its just my way of trying to have some sort of method to map my way around trying to pick winners

In the RP member's area, you can download the complete RPRs for any meeting which gives you the RPR history of the runners.

I looked at this race and according to my speed figures Dapper Man comes out top with Tom Marquand booked.

Mike.
Whereabouts can I find these figures in the members club. I've searched and cannot find, do you have a link available, cheers?

If you call up tomorrow's card on the Racing Post site and call up a race, then click on any runner you can see this RPR display as part of the 1 race per line form info....

for an RPR history, albeit one horse at a time. No subscription required. That's by clicking on the 'card' tab and then selecting the horse.
