Doe anyone know if the Racing Post race analysis is the same as the Raceform notebook comments/analysis ?,as I understand a lot of the information between the 2 outlets is now the same.

Thanks for the reply and info.I subscribe to Raceform Interactive but not the RP Members Club so i cannot say for sure Re The Note Book. The in running comments ( RP results pages ) from both are often very simular although the RI version are shown the following day in the old school abbreviated style. My understanding Re there Note Book comments these are written by there own in house staff and generally take 3-4 days before being available. RI inc there own form ratings which are different to the RP ones................... Perhaps phoning or e mailing Raceform would provide a definitive answer. ? I have found there customer support to be good.
Shown below both of the RI versions for Feb 3rd run of Letmelivemylife. ( 4th 9/1 )
travelled strly: towards rr: on outer fr over 3f out: hdwy whn up the centre fr under 2f out: shkn up whn outpcd 1f out: sn rallied and kpt on wl
Note Book : a non-runner three times since October, was quite the eyecatcher from off the pace on his debut for new connections after a 175-day absence. He's 4lb below his only winning mark in handicaps.
Re the above having backed him @ 18/1 i dare not share my own post race comments as i suspect those odds will not be on offer for this next run.![]()

So after establishing the Note Book comments are copied from the Racing Post, wonder why it takes 3-4 day before being available, a horse could have run again by then , seems strange from a very expensive service, when you can get the same thing free on the app.My understanding Re there Note Book comments these are written by there own in house staff and generally take 3-4 days before being available
Another valid observation and i have no idea, but i also have no intentions of changing because taken on balance then RI continues to best suit my way of working. The flat only version i subscribe to costs £47 a month and imo this is very good value for money. So after establishing the Note Book comments are copied from the Racing Post, wonder why it takes 3-4 day before being available, a horse could have run again by then , seems strange from a very expensive service, when you can get the same thing free on the app.
RP app already has notes for the 4.50 in Southwell yesterday for example

I respect your opinion but as ever a case of each to there own. Have you ever actually used the product. ?mick I appreciate we may be in a completely different wealth brackets, but I feel £47 a month is extortionate, and the kicker for me would be they have the pure cheek to only give you flat racing for that !!
I used it once , had a go when they did some kind of 3 months for the price of 2 or something like that. I wasn‘t impressed mainly due to the fact you can get all the information free elsewhere, the only thing I found useful is the data downloads and then when HRB came for £10 a month with data downloads i couldn‘t find any use for RI.I respect your opinion but as ever a case of each to there own. Timeform is still available at £30 a month for the full service.I used it once , had a go when they did some kind of 3 months for the price of 2 or something like that. I agree different people will find different uses for different software, but it does seem incredible to me that if you want flat and jumps it would be pushing £100 a month.
I mean don’t know if it’s still the same but you could get Timeform flat and jumps subscription for £30 a month a while back, that seems much better value, although still not something I would pay as I don’t think you can export results to a spreadsheet/database
Only £12 more than for flat only , even this is annoying, god knows why split them. For £576 a year you can get all NH and Flat racing

A few years back i tried what would have been an older version of computer timeform for a whole flat season and it was good but i still found myself preferring the RI product. Subscribing to both often proved more hindrance than help Re there race comments as they appeared to have conflicting thoughts Re how a horse had run which i guess is fair enough but can add to the confusion.![]()
yes I think the Own Ratings feature was what initially attracted me to give it a go, then I messed about a bit in my spare time and learned how to create ratings on spreadsheets and export them to my own database and retrieve them so that feature wasn’t something I needed. It is a very handy feature though to be fair.O Outlander Re your above i do not consider myself a good judge Re watching race re plays, so while i do still have a look Re a possible bet i tend to make most use of the RI in running comments. Its actually piddled me off to learn that these come from the RP. Back in the day Raceform often made mention of using two on course race readers for each meeting and they used to show photos of them when advertising.
One day i arrived extra early at Kempton and recognizing one went up and started a conversation. His knowledge of what a horse was doing during a race and why was mind blowing. These days what i suspect occurs is a bunch of far less experienced bods never leaving the office. ! But alas we have to work with whats available. !
Yes in RI you can make and store notes for a horse and occasionally i do Re a possible future target race, but the facility i like most is their Own Ratings one. Because once i rate a race those figs are shown in several areas of the database which i find very useful when profiling a top rated of interest.
