I had a bet on LE ROUGE CHINOIS (DEN) and thought I'd check on its welfare after it pulled up. I thought I saw it stumble just after the first circuit.

THE DOWNLOAD THE RACECOURSE APP RACEDAY-READY HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 6) 8:30pm Wolverhampton 15/09/26

Permission was given for LE ROUGE CHINOIS (DEN) to go early wearing a red hood to the start; for D DAY MAJOR WINTER to wear a red hood to the start.
Following the race, Oisin Murphy reported that he felt something amiss with LE ROUGE CHINOIS (DEN) passing the winning post with a circuit to run and therefore pulled the gelding up; the Veterinary Officer examined LE ROUGE CHINOIS (DEN) post-race and found it to be lame on its left-fore. Laura Pearson reported that THIS RIB, unplaced, hung right-handed. The Veterinary Officer reported that PINK WALLS, unplaced, finished lame on its left-fore.

Using ai and attheraces, this was its suggestions ;
Based on the class power ratings, averages, recent form, and pace factors, the top 3 selections for the race are:
I wonder if ai is reading everything I put in properly ????

  1. FILEY BEACH (Average: 61.67, Best Odds: 3/1)
    • Why: Boasts strong, consistent class power ratings (highlighted by a peak of 64) and solid tactical pace figures (7). He enters in winning form with proven course-and-distance credentials, making him the top overall contender on numbers.
  2. KEEP ME STABLE (Average: 63.00, Best Odds: 25/1)
    • Why: Holds the highest average class power rating in the field (63.00) backed by several strong upper-end ratings (up to 66). While recent runs require some forgiveness, his baseline class metrics keep him right in the mix.
  3. MONHAMMER (Average: 62.00, Best Odds: 6/1)
    • Why: Demonstrates an upward trajectory with strong late-season class figures peaking at 68 and 69. Combined with solid consistency and proven course familiarity, he shapes as a major threat for the podium.
(Alternative strong player: Misemerald sits closely behind with a 61.83 average and consistent ratings across the board).

20:00 Southwell

1. Hypnotised

  • Condensed Verdict: Course winner who shaped nicely when placed over $5\text{f}$ on turf this summer. Underperformed as an odds-on favourite over $5\text{f}$ here last time, but remains a major player stepping back up in trip off a lenient-looking mark.

3. Kirkdale

  • Condensed Verdict: Dual course-and-distance winner in April. Failed to fire on heavy ground at Chester last month, but is a strong candidate to bounce back returning to artificial Tapeta.

4. Righthere Rightnow

  • Condensed Verdict: Winless since his debut, though posted a solid 3rd at Windsor in June. Form has drifted since and he makes his artificial surface/Tapeta debut here; forecasted to sit handily in an even pace scenario.

5. Rock Iguana

  • Condensed Verdict: Won over course-and-distance last August, but has been winless since. Finished well beaten on his stable debut at Kempton 17 days ago and needs a drastic step forward to feature.

6. Saucy Jane

  • Condensed Verdict: Inconsistent type, but recorded her second win of 2026 at Windsor in August. Below par at Newmarket since and can be hard to catch on a good day.

7. Farandaway

  • Condensed Verdict: A reliable four-year-old who overcame a pace bias to win at Ripon in September (his third win of the season). Disappointed on soft ground at Hamilton last time, but is the type to bounce back quickly.

8. Ay Up Duck

  • Condensed Verdict: Dual winner this season (including over course-and-distance). Showed renewed promise when 6th of 16 at Doncaster last time and remains competitive dropped $1\text{ lb}$ in the weights.

9. Come On Over

  • Condensed Verdict: Having a standout season with 4 consecutive runner-up finishes, including a strong effort over course-and-distance last month where the winner boosted the form. Usually sits handily and trades low in-running; primary selection to land a deserved victory.

10. Desert Treasure

  • Condensed Verdict: Two-year-old winner whose best effort this term was a close 2nd at Lingfield in August. Unplaced in two turf runs since and makes her Tapeta debut here.

11. Mighty Vega

  • Condensed Verdict: Double winner at Lingfield earlier in the spring. Faded to 7th over course-and-distance last month following a three-month layoff, but should strip much sharper for that run and cannot be ruled out.
(Note: Seven Questions was declared a non-runner).

Based on the performance metrics across all three columns for this 20:00 Southwell race, the top 3 standout runners are:

  1. Ay Up Duck — Highly featured across every category, ranking 3rd in Column 12nd in Column 2 and 3rd in Column 3
  2. Hypnotised — Leads the field on long-term and peak recent ratings, ranking 1st in Column 1and 1st in Column 2
  3. Come On Over — Extremely consistent performer, ranking 2nd in Column 1 and 3rd in Column 2
