I had a bet on LE ROUGE CHINOIS (DEN) and thought I'd check on its welfare after it pulled up. I thought I saw it stumble just after the first circuit.

Permission was given for LE ROUGE CHINOIS (DEN) to go early wearing a red hood to the start; for D DAY MAJOR WINTER to wear a red hood to the start.
Following the race, Oisin Murphy reported that he felt something amiss with LE ROUGE CHINOIS (DEN) passing the winning post with a circuit to run and therefore pulled the gelding up; the Veterinary Officer examined LE ROUGE CHINOIS (DEN) post-race and found it to be lame on its left-fore. Laura Pearson reported that THIS RIB, unplaced, hung right-handed. The Veterinary Officer reported that PINK WALLS, unplaced, finished lame on its left-fore.
