How very kind and of course art is many facetted and very personal Rhinoz Rhinoz ... I like the pictures that tell a story or fire the imagination :)
 
Been studying the tonal artists and looking back a few centuries at landscape composition... well I just had to have a go.
Limited the palette to complimentary colours and used thinners to help with the tones. Calling it Marshland at Dusk

I'm amazed with your paintings! I love lanscape paintings, it brings me memories of my childhood at mom's. She loved to have a lot lanscapes everywhere, they seemed to be so real that you got into the painting, you may feel you were just there. Well done!

Are there any rules to follow when choosing the correct frame for a painting. There are so many different frames to choose from.

arkle55 arkle55 if it is an older style pic like Watermeadow it needs a broad dark frame... if however a modern pic a broad cream (not white) is the way to go. thin cheap frames are exactly that so pay the extra imo

D djb38 good comment I should paint with a title in mind ... you perhaps know some lasses that I don't :whistle:
