Eric Bowers narrowing the field

Although not a Bower Handicap race, might as well see how it measures up with today's Derby.

The short-list ratings range, does include the top 2 in the live market. Bowers with the OR difference factor, shows bigger numbers as it includes the current live odds. Not that much value at the top end of the market.

It works on non-handicaps , DuckandDive DuckandDive and is a good starting point for a shortlist. In fact, I once used it as a set of ratings (100-bower) in the VDW approach.

Thapa VC 5.00 Donny.

I highlighted this horse, when I put up my first bet, Rosemary's Rose.

It was sent off fav and was travelling very well behind the leaders but Oisin Murphy couldn't find a gap and never had the chance to open up.

Currently 9/2 with 4 places with B365.

As I am not really using the Eric Bowers principles (though very interesting), I will put my future selections on my own thread. I should have done this before now!

The ones in bold become the "narrowed field". Some questions about "value" overall.

Trilby, Station X, The Bell Conductor, merit further consideration.

This is how the Bowers Short-listed ended up with the last sporting life odds show. BSP @ 4.47 for the winner.

The rating supported the method well.

First 4 in the mix.
