CHELTENHAM 2026

Wow, I've got lucky with my UK trainer bet again, Wilful 14/1 and Johnny's Jury 22/1, I now need Nurse Susan, Andashan or East India Express in the last for 1k-1.4k, but should still get a decent amount from the double even if no treble hits. Hallelujah. Two bad days, two good, I'll take that.

Oh no, I do love Its On The Line, he's a great horse, he always keep trying, I wish he'd have won it, but thank you to the bookmaker they interviewed before the race as he tipped up Barton Snow and he was 15/2 at the time, quickly shorted to 9/2, best tip of the week.

Ah well I didn't get the big bucks but still hit the double and up over the festival, although, not that much, I put a fair bit on. Glad I put some small hedge bets on UK trainers or I'd have been down.

ENVOI ALLEN RIP, what a shame, very sad but died doing what he loved.

That and a few false starts aside, what a cracking festival that was, the best I've seen.

This horse was a superstar horse, 8th Cheltenham festival, for the love of god what was the purpose of continuing over the last 2 fences.
Sick of watching horses being asked to finish when they have given their all and nothing can be gained.
And anyone who watched the last in Fakenham today will have been equally as disgusted.

Not a good one for me. They have to sort those starts out they were shocking! However thank you rbtbib82 for your massive contribution and enthusiasm and also all other contributors.

Cheers guys. I'm going to have a couple of quiet weeks now, let the flat season kick off before betting properly again. And mostly going to focus on Saturday as that's the best day of racing, and my best day betting/profit wise.

Is Mr Queally receiving any punishment for falsely accusing de Boinville of the biggest crime in the country at the moment, racially abusing someone is dealt with severely now the crime gets you cancelled and unemployed and unemployable for the rest of your life, to falsely accuse someone , surely that would be recognised as dangerous and deserve some kind of punishment.
Or maybe they just brushed it all under the carpet.

Well they only needed one other person to confirm what queally alleged, perhaps another irish jockey ? presumably they didn't get it .

Aintree?

The BHA have this egregious idea that they are bigger than everything else. So whatever is deemed heinous in society, may not be in the court of the BHA. They are not exclusive as other sports governing bodies are of the same misguided ideologies.

We will never know if Declan Queally misheard or whether the words Irish ***** came out of De Boinville's mouth. De Boinville has been reminded by the board of his obligations that he behaves in a professional manner. As there was no audio of the incident it became a dispute of the facts, facts that nobody knows apart from the two involved.

But in the real world, to use a persons nationality before a derogratory term is racist. Unfortunately, the insular people involved in racing closed ranks.

I remember Nico screaming abuse at Luke Harvey a few years ago down at a start when Harvey got in front of his horse. Suffice to say the word idiot and a few swear words were directed at Harvey. Nico clearly thought he was out of earshot and range of Harvey's mic. It was by one of those fake fences they take the horse up to before the start ,to give them a sighter what to expect, Harvey was standing on the wrong side Lol .

I wonder if Declan Queally said something first, only the two of them know what was said by who and in what order, but being angry with someone and being politically correct don't really go hand in hand i.e. someone p&sses me off I'm going to return the favour in whatever way will achieve that.
But it's sticks and stones as far as I'm concerned.

I've still got a Cheltenham hangover. Around this time, I like to go back and watch all the finishes again, and they're available now....

What a cracker.

TIPSTERS REVIEW

Ruby Walsh = 1
Lydia Hislop = 1
Johnny Dineen = 1
David Jennings = 1
Paul Kealy = 5
Tom Segal = 3
Gary O'Brien = 2
Fran Berry = 5
ITV Presenters/Pundits/Tipsters on the Morning Show = 6 in total (from 5/6 people)

I did better than any of them, never listen to them, they're just tipping horses for the yard or betting site that they're associated with.
