Some decent bouts tonight .. Mikaela Mayer vs Sandy Ryan 2 , William Zepeda vs Tevin Farmer 2 .. being the main ones .. Think Zepedas gonna get the job done this time but could be a close one .. same with Mayer vs Ryan , no love lost in this one .. should be a great fight like the first one , too close to call tbh , first one was close and i think this one has the potential to be even closer , favouring Mayer slightly as its in the States but im hoping that Ryan gets the job done and comes home with the belts

Been reading that Derek Chisora is now the number one contender with the IBF which means hes gonna get a shot at Daniel Dubois .. Bakole was number one but as he lost to Parker last time he lost his spot , Chisora beat Wallin and was the IBFs number two so moves into the top spot to challenge for the title .. apparently they will order the fight on April 22nd ..

Zepeda won a majority decision and Mikaela Mayer won a unanimous decision .. both decent fights and some decent undercard action as well

Well Mikaela Mayer has said that shes seeking an undisputed bout with Welsh lass Lauren Price .. Price will win that i have no doubt

Hope your right there Sean, I can remember when Lauren turned to fighting, a member of her family approached my then employer asking if he would like to sponsor her to help get her to the Olympics. He laughed and said no. When she started to get a name for herself he offered to help, the look on his face when he was told he could do one was worth all those long thankless hours with his company.

Think Price will be too much / skilful for Mayer trecelyn trecelyn , she has all the attributes to be one of the best imho .. good story re your old boss , id of paid to see his face when she told him to do one lol

He was an arse mate, still is, loves to flaunt his wealth, good business man, won't take that away from him, but never gave anything back that I know of. You would not believe the traction Lauren Price is getting in the valleys, lots of communities looking for a hero/heroine and she fits the bill as she is one of them. Can't wait to see her fight again, reminds me of Joe Calzaghe, coming from similar places and the bigger fighters dissing their chances without looking at them.

Hughie Fury fights tonight , an 8 rounder against Dan Garber , should win that one , be disappointed if he doesnt ! On the same card Emma Dolan defends her British and Commonwealth Womans Junior Bantamweight titles against Lauren Parker

On Saturday (5th) Tim Tszyu returns to fight Joey Spencer .. Richard Torrez takes on Guido Vianello in a 10 round heavyweight clash , and on the same card up n coming Abdullah Mason fights Carlos Ornelas .. Janibek Alimkhanuly takes on Anauel Ngamissengue as he defends his IBF/WBO Middleweight belts , Alimkhanuly should win this and in Manchester Joe Joyce fights Filip Hgrovic , have never been particularly impressed by Hgrovic as ive said before but he should take this from what ive seen of Joyce lately , since his two back to back losses to Zhilei Zhang hes laboured to a tenth round stoppage of Kash Ali and then lost to Delboy Chisora .. before the Zhang losses i think he'd of walked down and through Hgrovic but now , i can only see a win for Hgrovic tbh .. some decent undercard fights as well

Emma Dolan wins by unanimous decision . Fury wins as expected , by stoppage , didnt look good though tbh altho Peter Fury did say he injured his hand during the week. Opponent werent up to much and this didnt really show us anything if im being honest except that he can box from a southpaw stance rather than his usual orthodox one (im assuming thats cos of the injured hand maybe)
Apparently hes due to fight a decent opponent on June 27th , opponent announced soon

Janibel Alimkhanuly wins by a 5th round stoppage , caught Ngamissengue good n proper .. Hgrovic beats Joyce by unanimous decision , best Joyce has looked since the Zhang loss tbh , but i still say hes done and Hgrovic is nowhere near the tob table of heavyweights
David Adeleye won by a contraversial KO against Jeamie Tshikeva , ref called break and grabbed Tshikevas arm to pull him away and Adaleye landed one on him and dropped him and the ref called it ..

Saturday April 12th - Jaron Ennis vs Eimantos Stanionis

Should be an interesting fight this one , im personally a fan of both boxers and although Ennis comes into this as favourite i dont think you can write off Stanionis' chances in this. 'Boots' Ennis (34 Fights - 33 Wins (29 KOs) - 1 No Contest) has long been hailed as a future hall of famer and his skills are unquestionable but the fact is hes never really faced any what i would consider top opposition , not always his fault admittedly , but thats my opinion , and in his last two or three fights hes looked a little flat imho , not the exciting fighter we're used to , but against Stanionis (15 Fights - 9 KOs)) hes gonna have to be at his best and be on his toes as the Lithuanian is always gonna be a potent threat. The one downside for Stanionis is that he hasnt been in the ring for a year , and only one fight in the last two years , which could go against him in a fight like this and an opponent like Ennis. As ive said Ennis does have the skill set but he tends to end up brawling which is always a risk , especially against someone like Stanionis who can go a hard 12 rounds if he has too , both have a bit of pop in their shots although as i say Ennis seems to be lacking in his recent fights , he has dropped his opponents but doesnt follow up and finish the job. Hes got a good height and reach advantage over Stanionis but again he doesnt always seem to utilise his natural attributes to his advantage , rather engaging toe to toe. Stanionis is your classic pressure fighter which could well play into Ennis' style of fighting whose more of a counter puncher , both have yet to taste defeat and neither have hit the canvas as yet , but that could well change here , on the face of it its a hard one to call but i think Ennis comes through this test. For me hes the better boxer and whilst a stoppage wouldnt surprise me Stanionis is durable so id be more inclined to go for a points victory , if a stoppage were to come id say it'd be in the latter half of the fight , maybe round 7 onwards. Should be a good fight whatever happens.

Saturday 19th April - Gabriela Fundora vs Marilyn Badillo Amaya

Gabriela Fundora (16 Fights - 15 Wins (7 KOs) - 1 No Contest) is one of my favourite female boxers and she defends her undisputed flyweight title for the first time against the unbeaten Mexican Marilyn Badillo (20 Fights - 19 Wins (3 KOs) - 1 Draw) and im looking forward to it as Fundora brings excitement to the ring every time , and definatley has a fan friendly style. Fundora is tall for a flyweight (just like her brother WBO/WBC champ Sebastian whose 6 foot 6 and very tall for a Light Middleweight) , and she brings a viciousness you rarely see in the female side of the game if im being honest , shes a southpaw , uses her height and reach well and like i say throws with intent. Badillo is gonna come to fight but i think shes a level or two below Fundora , and if she cant hurt Fundora then i think shes gonna be in for a very long night .. As i say shes unbeaten (except for the draw) but when you look at the quality of opposition then she should be beating them , her last three opponents have records of 6 wins - 9 losses , 10 wins - 4 losses and 10 wins - 11 losses .. so hardly in Fundoras league lets be honest. I dont think shes been dropped yet so fair to assume she has a decent chin but then she hasnt been in the ring with anyone like Fundora .. I really have a hard job seeing past Fundora in this one i have to say , i think Badillo will be game but i feel that Fundora will be too much for her and will finally stop her to retain the titles.

Sunday 20th April - Liam Cameron vs Ben Whittaker 2

Well this one definatley needed resolving after their first fight so here we are .. first one was a draw but i had Cameron (31 Fights - 23 Wins (10 KOs) - 6 Losses - 1 Draw - 1 No Contest) winning when it was called , the way they both went out the ring was unreal ive never seen anything like it , and like i say Cameron was walking through Whittaker (9 Fights - 8 Wins (5 KOs) - 1 Draw) when the fight was called and i had him up at that point so i think he can feel a bit aggrieved at that decision. As i said in the previous write up i think Whittaker is skillful but seems to lack pop in his shots , and so it panned out , his shots never affected Cameron at all , and to me it just seemed as though he didnt wanna be there. Cameron was really the first 'live' opponent that Whittaker had faced for me (no disrespect to his other opponents) , and though his skillset was evident , so was his lack of power and at times heart. Hes definatley gotta up his game and change his strategy in this one , Cameron could well have his number and that first fight will definatley have boosted his confidence imho.I thought Whittaker would win the first one , and tbh i think hes gonna probably win this one if he boxes from the outside because as ive said hes slick and has a solid skillset and Cameron will find it hard to tag him cleanly if hes on his game but thats the question is he gonna be at the to of his game as in the first i think he was looking past Cameron and thats always a mistake. Ben Whittaker has been hyped as the next best thing , and like ive said he has the skills he now has to prove he has the dog in him to see it through in the tougher fights and i dont know the answer to that one if im being honest. I really want Cameron to win this one as he deserves it but i can see him getting outpointed if the fight goes the distance , however if he can drag Whittaker into deep waters the outcome could be very different , hard one to call as my head says Whittaker but my heart says Cameron , and im gonna go with my heart

Liam Cameron To Win

Not gonna do write ups for the Cameron vs Whittaker undercard but this is my thoughts on them ..

Lee Cutler vs Sam Egginton .. should be a real exciting fight , lets face it Eggington gives 100% every time and i cant think of one bout hes been involved in that werent worth watching. Cutler is coming in off a fine win over Stephen McKenna , and like Eggington will come to fight .. I always root for Eggington i have to admit but i do slightly favour Cutler in this one.

Frazer Clarke vs Ebeneezer Tetteh .. First fight for Clarke after his first round defeat to Fabio Wardley , will be interesting to see how he fares tbh as that was a knockout and a half. In all fairness this should be an easy assignment and nice fight to get back into it as Tetteh is mediocre at best tbh , lost to Dillian Whyte last time and i envisage another loss for the Ghananian.

Tyler Denny vs Elvis Ahorgah .. Denny is coming off his loss to Hamzah Sheeraz and im expecting him to make amends here , been operating on a higher level than Ahorgah and although he'll come to fight im expecting that Denny comes through this test.

Bradley Goldsmith vs Troy Coleman .. for the Midlands Area Title , should be a decent fight , favouring the unbeaten Cov fighter Goldmith in this one but i wouldnt dismiss Colemans chances

Saturday 19th April - Dalton Smith vs Mathieu Germain

Unbeaten Brit Dalton Smith (17 Fights - 17 Wins (13 KOs) won the vacant European Light Welterweight title and kept hold of the WBC Silver Light Welterweight title last time by a first round TKO of Walid Ouizza , before that he KO'd the decent Jose Zepeda in the fifth , and im expecting him be doing the same in this one. Canadian Germain (29 Fights - 26 Wins (11 KOs) - 2 Losses - 1 Draw) is on an eight bout winning streak (last two coming by way of stoppage) coming into this but i feel that that may well end here given the the way Smith fights and the power that he possesses. Germain is having his first fight outside of Canada , and at 35 years old and having 29 fights under his belt that kinda surprises me if im being honest , and i think it could be overwhelming considering that most of the spectators will be shouting for Smith ! Smith is 7 years younger and i think hes been in with better quality opposition thus far , i really cant see this one going the distance , i think Smith is gonna have too much about him for Germain , think Dalton Smith will stop him early to mid rounds
