Friday 6th September - Sam Noakes v Gianluca Ceglia

Shame on me , forgot about this one for this weekend , unbeaten Brit Sam Noakes (14 Fights - 14 Wins (13 KOs)) defends his EBU Lightweight title against Italian fighter Gianluca Ceglia (26 Fights - 21 Wins (4 KOs) - 4 Losses - 1 Draw) and though i think it'll be entertaining i think Noakes will have far too much for the Italian challenger. Noakes beat Yvan Mendy by unanimous decision last time , that was the first time he'd gone the distance in any of his fights and it was basically a masterclass with Noakes dominating and controlling the fight from the off , that was a solid display against a seasoned fighter who'd been up against some decent opponents (and he has Ceglia's scalp on his resume as well). Before this , as i said , hes stopped every other opponent , and whilst Ceglia has only been stopped once in those four losses i think theres a chance that he may well get stopped again as Noakes is very heavy handed for a lightweight. He beat the well touted and unbeaten Lewis Sylvester back in February of this year , with Sylvesters corner throwing in the towel after the fourth round , after being dropped in the third and fourth. Ceglias a decent enough boxer tbh but he hasnt got the tools or the firepower that Noakes possesses and i honestly cant see him coming out on top here , in any scenario ive run through my head. Noakes for the win.

Saturday 28th September - Johnny Fisher v Andrii Rudenko

Nice to see Brit Heavyweight hopeful 'The Romford Bull' staying busy , Fisher (12 Fights - 12 Wins (11 KOs)) is fighting for the third time this year , hes been impressive so far but i think this one is gonna be his sternest test to date , He demolished Alen Babic in the first round last time and i honestly though Babic could cause him problems but i was wrong , this time he faces Ukranian Rudenko (44 Fights - 36 Wins (22 KOs) - 7 Losses - 1 No Contest) and i honestly think that despite being 40 years old this could certainly be his sternest test to date , and its going to be a good indicator of where he is at this stage of his career. Rudenko stopped his last opponent in the first round , and though hes lost seven times hes only been stopped twice , against Jared Anderson and fellow Ukranian the unbeaten Vladyslav Sirenko , and thats saying something when you consider hes gone the distance with Zhilei Zhang , Agit Kabayel and Alexander Povetkin who can all bang , and whilst hes not a top tier fighter hes durable and solid and should provide Fisher with some decent opposition. I think Fisher should be winning this but i do think that at times that Rudenko may well trouble him and the longer the fight goes on the more its gonna test Fishers resilience and tenacity.

Think that both Beterbiev and Bivol should be above Canelo Alvarez and Jesse Rodriguez , not sure about Devin Haney in there either tbh , cant argue with one and two , for me they're a given .. As for the womens rankings , 1st , 2nd and 3rd are fine for me , personally i'd have Serrano in 4th and Thorslund in fifth but other than that look okay

O Outlander , thought you might like this , specially as if everything keeps going the way it is these two may well be meeting somewhere down the line ..

Catch this later, but been enjoying your other videos of Canelo and the Argentinian fella that nobody could hit, excellent stuff @Sean
I agree with your assessment that Beterbiev and Bivol should be higher in the P4P rankings, if we have a clear winner of that upcoming fight they would have an argument for being #1 on the list. They are both proper boxers, I would have both in the top 4 personally already.

Hope you enjoy it , yeah Beterbiev and Bivol should both be higher than they currently are O Outlander , they should of fought earlier tbh as Beterbiev is aging and is injury prone so whatever the outcome i dont think it would be a true reflection of things like if it had happened a couple of years ago say , should still be a good fight to watch though.

Saturday 12th October - Shakur Stevenson v Joe Cordina

I didnt see this fight coming if im being totally honest , Cordina (18 Fights - 17 Wins (9 KOs) - 1 Loss) is coming off his first pro loss , being stopped by Anthony Cacace in the eighth round , took some heavy punishment in that one and i dont know if this might be coming a bit soon after such a heavy and gruelling loss , also hes left his previous trainer and gone to Ben Davison and Barry Smith (which isnt a bad thing has to be said) and hes also going up in weight which i think will help as he hasnt looked good / comfortable in his last two or three fights , whether that will help against someone like Stevenson is yet to be seen. Stevenson (22 Fights - 22 Wins (10 KOs)) beat Artem Harutyunyan by unanimous decision last time , and though hes not exactly a fan friendly type fighter with his stick and move tactics theres no denying hes a talented boxer with solid ring IQ. I like Cordina but i am struggling to see him beating Stevenson here , he does have a height and reach advantage but the way Stevenson boxes i cant see that coming into play much tbh , hes gonna have trouble pinning Stevenson down as hes very slick and has good movement and awareness. Stevenson should be winning this , but i think me and others want to see him engage more , i dont dislike him because of his style , i think hes very talented and great at what he does but as i say its not great to watch tbh and i think if his style was more fan friendly he'd be getting the big names into the ring. I wanna see Cordina do well and id like to see him win this but i just cant see it , Stevenson is too slick and good imho.

Saturday 21st September - Josh Kelly v Liam Smith

Though the Joshua / Dubois card is stacked this one is definatley one of the ones im looking forward to most , 'Beefy' Smith (38 Fights - 33 Wins (20 KOs) - 4 Losses - 1 Draw) hasnt been seen in the ring since losing to Chris Eubank Jr by TKO back in September of last year , and is looking to get back on track here by beating Sunderlands finest Josh Kelly (17 Fights - 15 Wins (8 KOs) - 1 Loss - 1 Draw) who arrives on the back of a third round knockout of Placido Ramirez .. This one has all the hallmarks of being a good fight , but for me its all dependant on what Liam Smith has left in the locker at this stage of his career , hes now 36 years of age , had almost 40 fights and been involved in some proper wars over the years and it all takes a toll , if hes anywhere near his best hes gonna cause Kelly all sorts of problems but if he isnt then i like Kelly for the win. This one is as 50/50 as they come , even the bookies have it 10/11 - 4/5 each so they think its an either / or match up. Kelly , for me , is much more the technical boxer , lots of movement , whereas Smith is more of a pressure fighter , asserting and imposing himself .. He did that to tremendous effect against Chris Eubank Jr in their first encounter but in their rematch he didnt resemble the Liam Smith we all know at all imho , and thats not taking anything away from Eubank Jr. Smith has fought the better opposition theres no doubt , and this will probably be Kellys hardest fight to date (if Smith is anywhere near his best) , Smith will definatley be up for the challenge as he has it all to prove now after his last fight but has he still got what it takes ? Im not sure if im being honest , I can see Kelly starting well , and taking the first 3-5 rounds maybe , but then Smith could well start coming into it after landing some hefty shots , if Kelly had more power i would be more confident of a win for him , but its all ifs , buts and maybes with this one .. Kelly has fast hands and feet , and he does have trouble with pressure fighters , his only loss coming to David Avanesyan who was in his face and pressuring him from the get go but Liam Smith isnt a different type of pressure fighter everything he does comes from his jab , and he has struggles with boxers who can move. If Smith cant stop him then i think Kelly can nick this on points , especially if he starts well and banks the rounds , although if he starts to flag late on that could prove problematic. Anyway definatley a hard one to call , initially my first call was Liam Smith but the more i think about it the more im beginning to think that Josh Kelly can nick this on points , so without any confidence im gonna call a Kelly win in this one.

Josh Kelly To Win .. By Decision

POSTPONED DUE TO LIAM SMITH WITHDRAWING AS HE HAS A VIRUS
