Agreed O Outlander , theres so many belts nowadays i get confused .. and it really gauls me that say Crawford is ordered to defend his title against a mandatory a few months after winning the belt and then is stripped when he cant because of contractual obligations and Uysk has to fight his mandatory (Dubois) but say Fury doesnt ... Canelo doesnt .. and so the list goes on .. they seem to be able to pick and choose who they fight , its a joke and you're right its certainly shooting itself in the foot , and turning people off watching it .. for me Fury should of been ordered to fight Uysk and that should of been come before the Ngannou fight but look at the WBC HW rankings ,, Fury (Champ) , (1) Wilder , (2) Joshua (3) Makhmudov (4) Sanchez (5) Ruiz Jr (6) Anderson (7) Ajagba (8) Whyte (9) Bakole (10) Parker (11) Hrgovic (12) Dubois (13) Kabayel (14) Wallin (15) Jalolov .. so Uysk who holds three belts , beat Joshua twice isnt even in their top 15 to me thats a complete joke .. you look at Jermall Charlo and he hasnt fought since 2021 (due to fight Benavidez Jr soon) and still holds a belt .. its madness .. surely the best should be fighting the best .. Fury v Uysk , then Hrgovic or Zhang whoever wins .
 
Fury hit the nail on the head when he said he could not careless about belts.
Hes making millions fighting when he likes against who he likes and he only wants the money and hes so honest about it so the boards are lossing control of boxing anyway and the days of being for belts is slipping away in front of them.
PPV has just made it money game now.
 
Fury changes his mind from week to week , he also said he cared about his legacy etc etc .. blah blah
 
Just been reading about a young British female boxer whose made her pro debut at the age of 15 .. Rianna Doforo had to go to Mexico as the BBBoC dont grant licences for pro fighters until the age of 18 .. she beat a 39 year old over 4 rounds on points
 
Good display by Harlem Eubanks last night to stop German Timo Schwarzkopf who had previously never been stopped in his 28 fight career , that win took Eubank to 19-0 (8 KOs) .. afterwards he was calling out Conor Benn , whether anything will come of that who knows

I dunno that was a pretty good right he stopped him with .. think he pretty much controlled the fight throughout , and whilst not a world beater Schwarzkopf had never been stopped before , think he done okay overall

Pretty much same as mine , as you say so many great MW ,, was a joy to watch back in the day gotta be honest and no ducking and diving either .. i liked Gary Mason as well , not the greatest HW but he could throw a solid punch and only lost the once , and that was to Lennox Lewis so no shame in that . Met him a couple of times and he was a really decent fella

I live in the North West and one of the regional news magazine programmes on Granada did a feature on her couple of days ago before her fight, they went to her Gym and spoke with her , her father and her trainer.

Calzaghe is probably the best British boxer I’ve seen, but in my life I have only watched one fight live at the venue, my friend was a friend of Robin Reid and we went to watch him fight Joe Calzaghe, still to this day I feel Robin Reid had a slight edge and I would have personally scored him the victor that day.
Eubank Snr very close at his best one of my all time favourites.
 
If Eubank had not had the war with Michael Watson he may have eclipsed Calzaghe , he was in IMO never quite the same after that fight . On the other hand Watson comes through that fight un injured and he is surely going to be a great boxer with a massive career. We will never know
 
@Sean we are both Minter fans - I knew a lad who had connections to a Manchester boxer who sparred with all the best at the time - he reckoned Minter was by far the heaviest hitter of all he had sparred with
 
Wouldnt surprise me markfinn markfinn , watching some of his fights it looks as tho he had heavy hands

Michael Watson was a class boxer , really sickening what happened to him tbh , but yeah im in agreement if he;d of beaten Eubank he'd of gone all the way to the top of the tree i reckon
