Bookmakers offers be wary

Keerching

Yearling
So William Hill have an offer on in the shop if you use a William Hill Plus card (obtainable with a valid mobile phone number) you get the chance to get enhanced odds on a football/horse racing bet. Apparently only one card is allowed per customer but I know several people who have more than one and take advantage of it. I placed a bet with the plus card and it won and i collected the cash from the cashier at the counter. A friend of mine who couldn't get to the shop asked me to collect his winnings and gave me his ticket. When I cashed out at the betting terminal and took my pay out voucher to the counter the hairy assed cashier jobsworth said I had already used the offer once and that I was being watched and in future my bet would be cancelled!
I only have 1 plus card, I was collecting the second winnings for a friend.
1. How can they watch me?
2. If someone in the shop places a bet at the terminal with a card then another punter uses his card to place the same bet (enhanced odds offer) they think its the same person doing it twice and your bet can be cancelled.
3. I placed a £10 football bet and got a £5 free bet as advertised but the £5 free bet would not work in the terminal, it had been blocked for no reason.
How do these bookmakers continually get away with scamming the public with fake betting offers that lure you into the shop but fail to deliver?
I am thinking of reporting this to my local councils licencing team with a view to them revoking the gaming licence from William Hill!
Has anyone else encountered such dreadful customer service?

Hi K Keerching it is many years since i have been in a betting shop so i cannot comment Re your above but many on line customers of William Hill will also have experienced being treated as rubbish. You ask how they can getaway with this and the sad answer is punter apathy, therefore i was pleased to read your final sentence above and i hope you do proceed because the more waves made then the greater the chance that much needed changes to the current day large Bookmaker poor practices may occur.

On the rare occasions they do get officially called to account the often large fines involved have no affect but the very real threat of having there Licence removed ( or suspended ) would give them pause for thought. !

This will be an utter waste of time, they can do exactly what they want. Any elected representative that could do something to affect their licensing will be enjoying free hospitality in their box at Cheltenham next month.
Bookies are like the mafia but with algorithms to fck you up instead of kneecapping.

With just the odd individual doing so then prob yes but if many did so collectively we will not know unless we try. ! While you mostly end up being on a hiding to nothing its not always a forlorn hope.

As an example some on line acquaintances and myself bombed Odds Checker with complaints Re the covert way Bookmakers changed there BOG T&Cs which most users of the site would not be aware of until it cost them, and by a happy coincidence not long after Odds Checker did start displaying this info in a more overt way, with ATR then following suit. A minor success but from little Acorns ..............?

On most racing forums you will note some members making long posts Re Bookmakers devious practices and yet most appear unwilling to spend 5mins e mailing there MP or as K Keerching mentions above there local council. I wish there was an Algorithm to sort this. !

Following on from this get yourself as many wh plus cards as possible.
Take up their epic odds offers when you can lay it on betfair and its a win/win situation.

Tbh i have no interest in there epic odds but it would be sweet if they felt able to lay there early odds to a reasonable sum. Indeed i would call this Epic. !

The offer they are upset about now is a football bet they promote.
Place £10 on a football bet and get a free £5 bet voucher.
It's easy to back a team to win at short odds and lay it on betfair for a small loss, say 75p and then you have gained a £4.25 free bet!
Supposedly restricted to 1 bet per customer but they can't monitor it at all their shops lol.
Muppets.

With the William Hill Plus card they are now offering Constitution Hill at EVENS!
It would be so rude not to avail yourself of this offer!

If anyone is partaking in the epic odds on Saturday (Man United to score first) remember there are 2 other possible outcomes.
Everton to score first and also there to be NO GOAL SCORED. This last option might trick a few punters so beware and yes there is a nice arbitrage again :D

Well after a winning streak of 12 successful EPIC ODDS wins last Saturday it went down, Alexander Isak to have a shot on target.
Today the EPIC ODDS is Son to have a shot on target for Spurs and I'm side stepping this opportunity.

In Poland it's hard to find buccaneer corners. Fortuna operates throughout Poland. I have not heard of anyone ever being cheated by them. A buddy loved to bet on Czech field hockey, because it was like Russian roulette, and the return on investment could be really big.
