Could not agree more mick mick , but this is not just specific to Punting , think Water Rates , Council Tax , Trains etc etc . We really are a bunch of Docile individuals , easily led and easily manipulated . As long as the Top 5% can convince the majority that it is the fault of someone else they will continue to suck up the wealth until the rest of us are bled dry. Bit too Political !! but it all too mirrors the Soceity we live in .....

rip off Britain I pay over £100 a month for water, 18 miles from Manchester , known for raining 300 days a year. I could literally bathe in Evian and pay less a month. What are the French and Spanish paying for water, boiling hot countries about a fiver a month.
 
mick mick , i consider myself to be a recreational punter and would love to see a Tote Monopoly like they have in Hong Kong . If i could bet into their markets as a recreational punter it would be amazing . I watched a lot of Hong Kong racing during Covid . Much of their product was free ..... Streaming , Racecards , Data Analysis etc etc all free . The only stumbling block ... The time Difference .

In my experience it's the top 0.5% that are really creaming it in. Even getting into the top 10% there's a exponential difference on a graph akin to the north face of the eiger between hitting that level & the 0.5% band.

My water rates are now 1500 a yr!!! Nearly 3x what they were 20yr ago!!!
