My subset for this race is blackheath, Fred and the selection

B strike rate 12%, last winning mark 87 now 81 so no need to improve but ran to an 81 lto and an 83 lto2 so not back to its best, no form support, won 7f and on gf, won a couple of C3s, never tried gf right-handed but gf 2 wins from 9 runs

F strike rate 31%, last winning mark 82 now 85 so needs to improve, gf rhd 1 place from 2 runs, gf 1 win 1 place 4 runs, won 7f and on gf, won 4 C4s, no form support

P strike rate 19%, last winning mark 90 now 72 and could be said to have run to a 92 lto2, has form support, won 8f and 7f, won 2 C2s and 2 C3s, gf rhd 1 run and failed to place, gf 1 win from 5 runs, normally on the aw but not a 1 trick pony as has won on turf

IF strike rate 50%, never won with a mark now 84 but lto ran to a 78+ so really needs to improve, right-handed 1 run and never places, won 8f std 11k men, has form support, on balance swerved.

MTME strike rate 20%, last winning mark 82 now 86, tough to work out what it ran to lto but has been running down the field recently, won 8f g 40k, good rhd 1 run never placed, the horse has ability but not showing it at present swerved

MMT strike rate 9%, last winning mark 74 now 78 but ran to an 85 lto and 80 prior to that so no improvement necessary, no form support, never tried g rhd but good 2 places 3 runs won 7f ys 12k men

S strike rate 12%, last winning mark 73 now 78 but ran to a possible 90 lto and 84 the time before so no improvement nessary, is already being backed in, g rhd 1 place 1 run, won 7f std 11k men, has form support

I've taken the 6/1 on MMT and 17/2 S both with a boost

GS strike rate 30%, last winning mark 94 now 98, lto ran to 91+ and lto2 99 so no improvement necessary, won 14f on soft so has stamina, won C2, has form support, g or gf rhd 1 win 2 places 3 runs so spot on conditions, trainer jockey combo 50%(7/14), trainer 45% and jockey 25%

I'll wait until Tuesday to bet but plan to bet both

E strike rate 30%, last winning mark 85 now 94 and ran to an 93 lto so little improvement necessary, won 6f and has CD win, has form support, good to firm 1 run no place but not really a negative as too small a sample as there's always a first time, won 2xC3, trainer 7% and jockey 22%, has converted a favourite to a win, was made favourite lto in a C2

Dreamloper pulled throughout and just never really happened yesterday. I like Highwaygrey. My only concern would be the pace - I wonder if Data Protection will be able to get a nice lead and dictate from there. Bendalid likes to be prominent, but I can't see much else getting up front with DP. Good luck.

I've checked all my results and I haven't posted them all and the basic ratings get about 40% winners and a profit bet blind but my form reading gets 13% and a loss.

I think I need to improve on 2 fronts, gets ratings that get a bigger proportion of winners and more important improve my form reading both of which will take some thought.

I'll draw this thread to a close early and have a good ponder
