Used to do mlm many moons ago was in Kleeneze for a while and made a few bob but getting and keeping people was a nightmare. Moved onto Avon which was pretty good, my wife still does it, but I was not comfortable with it.
There is money to be made in MLM but you have to be in the right place at the right time.
 
I always thought that if the mlm concept worked for most people (rather than the few) then the "I get and retain 2 distributors, who each get and retain 2 distributors, and so on" would be reflected in the mlm company's accounts. Thus the company's second-quarter profits would be double the first quarter's, the third quarter would be double the second quarter, and so on. Which doesn't happen, of course. Furthermore, mlm doesn't even work for the few, because it doesn't work for most people. Therefore "the few" can't retain their "most people" distributors, and the whole thing falls apart.

I should just say that the reason I use £15 stakes from a £1,000 bank is that I expect at some point to have 3 losing days on the bounce. If there were 10 bets each day, you'd also need to finance day 4. That's 40 bets x £15 = £600. That still leaves £400 in the bank, so saves sweating.
