Boiling Point holds the pure biomechanical advantage off the blocks, dominating both the 0-20 mph acceleration (2.4s) and raw Top Speed (39.2 mph) largely driven by the highest stride frequency in the field. However, Quisana possesses the most impressive velocity against standard (-1.17s VS Par), and Respond boasts the highest finishing speed percentage (103%), which will be highly relevant given the expected pace duel up front.

Respond capitalized brilliantly on a late shift in the pace dynamics to dominate this field. With the withdrawal of Quisana (Non-Runner), the heavily contested pace scenario we mapped out pre-race evaporated. Respond was able to secure the front end by the end of the first furlong and completely dictated terms, turning the race into a true test of sustained velocity that the rest of the field simply couldn't match.

The overall time figure was outstanding, clocking a 9.4/10 Time Index and finishing -2.86s (Very Fast) against standard par.

Sectional Split Analysis​

The internal fractions show exactly where Respond broke his rivals. Looking at the cumulative splits:

• Early (F1-F3): Naqeeb and Boiling Point used superior early acceleration to contest the first furlong, but Respond absorbed that pressure, taking the lead and running steady 12-second furlongs.
• The Turn of Foot (F6-F8): From the 6-furlong marker, Respond steadily dropped his furlong times (11.73s → 11.25s → 11.23s).
• The Finish: By the final furlongs, Respond was operating at an incredible 104.30% Finishing Speed Percentage. When Lion's Pride and Boiling Point attempted to rally, Respond was already gone, ultimately winning by a comfortable 4 lengths.
