VDW Early Selections.

Nellsman

Colt
Hi,
I'm putting up the form sheets for VDW's early selections. I'll put up the selections form along with the form of any key horses. The key horse in Celtic Pleasures form is Amber Valley. When they met in race 260 Celtic Pleasure had AR 42 and Amber Valley had AR 10. I'll do the others as time allows.

regards
Nellsman

Hi Guys,
now it's Rifle Brigade. There are quite a lot of files so I'm loading them separately for each of Rifle Brigades last three races.
You can find the race data at the link given above in my previous post.

Evening hope you are well, can I ask your definition of the comment Key Horse, is it one winning in higher class, is it one with some collateral form or one that’s moved down in class to win.

I always thought it was a horse moving up in class therefore franking the form as so to speak.

Regards

Hi Pingman Pingman,
on my understanding the key horse is the horse that beat our selection into second or third place, or the horse that finished second to our selection. In Rifle Brigades case the key horses are Warsong, Wharton Manor and Malgalatti. Look at the form of these three horses. What did they beat or were beaten by.

Hope this helps, regards Nellsman.

Nellsman,

ive been studying the form from the pdfs youve posted so far......and....its getting interesting !

you wouldnt happen to have any of the for the Wayward Lad / Burrough Hil Lad Kempton Race.......would you?

cheers,
Rave

Hi Ark,

i was looking at the lto race for Celtic Pleasure, Rifle Brigade & Battlement,

all 3 show the same "pattern" with regard to the horse who beat the "Selection" or finished 2nd to it

Im trying to program some software to pull some "recent" Results that have the same pattern from my DB

regards,

David.

Hi @rave154,

Nellsman,

ive been studying the form from the pdfs youve posted so far......and....its getting interesting !

Hi Rave, I'll put up the early selections from which you can appraise the "Golden Thread" running through all of them.
After that I will put up the form of any race you chose. But first, let's start at the beginning. Keep On Keeping On.

Regards
Nellsman

Hi Nellsman,

sounds good to me !

But could you do one more thing for one race,

posts the pdfs, in the same style as so far, but do it for one of the other horses in a vdw selected race,

for example,

do the pdfs for "Move Off" in Battlements race, for the simple reason, at least according to the figures,

it is easier to see Move Off as a selection rather than Battlement as Battlements Ability is only 10 compared to
50 for Move off and Move Off's consistency figure is every bit the equal of Battlements, also Move was running
in quite higher class races than Battlement.

So i think this would be a good horse to "Compare" to Battlement.

cheers so far,

Regards,

David.

Hi @rave154,
I'm not sure what you mean. I did post the form of Move Off. For each of it's last three races.

Regards Nellsman.

Hi Nellsman,

just noticed !.....of course......there is Move Off !!

Interesting, Move Off...... does not seem to fit in with the pattern im noticing, so thats good.....however

Alexanda The Great does seem to have the same pattern and has a slightly higher Ability than Battlement,
together with a slightly better consistency ( 7 as opposed to 8)

hmm, not sure what to think now ( I dare say many have been in this position ! )
