Hi @Sean a snap with Purple so best of for both of us..........below is my take on his chance.

Mon 14th Kemp 5.30 : Purple Paddy @ 10/1

An 8 fur 0-52 with 14 run the top weight under a penalty effectively makes it a 0-55. I backed Purple 4lto when ridden by a 5lb claimer and its worth pondering the RI in running comment " hld up in rr: rdn 2f out: nt clr run and hmpd over 1f out: styd on fnl fur " what occurred during his next three runs is also worth consideration because 3lto he had a first ever run at Wolv fin 2nd but receiving a stone from the winner, 2lto he returned there but failed to obtain a clear run and was eased down. Lto back to this CD but in a 0-60 when all three of his previous wins have come in 0-55 contests.

As is often the way the question i needed to answer Re the above is has he genuinely regressed or where the last three runs placed to lose jobs. ? In truth i cannot reach a definitive conclusion, but subject to price have decided to give him the benefit of the doubt because he does have the looks of one placed to win in this race. His profile shows three happy coincidences in respect that one of his previous wins here ( 28Feb19 ) emulates exactly via Same size field same weight and draw. RI have mentioned his above avg physical size which should also help him beat the 9-5 again.

Liam Keniry is the type of experienced journeyman rider who i seldom mind having on side. I note he was also on top for Purples three most recent outings and the fact he keeps the ride might be a positive, he has also ridden plenty of Kemp winners. Finding positives for the trainer is not an easy ask but fair dues he has produced this moderate animal to win three times over this CD and long term Kemp is by far the stables most winsome track. At this time of year the small yards will be seeking some Xmas cash via landing a touch and hopefully Purple runs here with this intention.

I needed 10/1 to enable the bet and B365 have just opened at same.
