SPURS v ARSENAL ( 16.30 )
My thoughts on this match are that if Tottenham manage to get an early goal in the first 15 minutes then it's curtain for Arsenal and I would take them to lose 3-0 or 3-1.
But Arsenals away form and defence has been relatively strong conceding either just 0 or 1 goal max against teams like Man City, Man Utd and yes, Leeds, so they will be harder to break from the outset. A first goal I would expect to be in the 30 - 45 minute range.
This London derby match has nearly a 100 year history with the first match in January 1921 producing a 2-1 win to Spurs, but historically, this match has produced an above average amount of draws for this fixture in this competition.
So could we expect a draw? The problem lies in Arsenal's ability to score at the moment and Tottenham's home scoring record in recent games is strong winning their last four competitive home games. Tottenham are also unbeaten against Arsenal in their last six home games.
Interesting stat:- Son Heung-Min's nine Premier League goals is just one less than the entire Arsenal team combined.
The weather conditions today ( settled and dry ) should ensure a lively match and hopefully with a number of goals to entertain, but as for the score depends on the time of the 1st goal.
I'm betting on over 3.5 goals at what I think is a value price of 12/5 ( 3.35 - 3.40 )
.
