Todays selection.

Mereside Princess - 2.15 Muss.

When a 3yo filly starts improving, we don't know where it will end and I don't think the 9lb rise will stop her today.

She's in form, tactically advantaged and proven at the track.

She bolted up over today’s C&D, again making all with ease.

Currently 5.2 with Betfair.

Best of luck with your selection B billybob I'd be concerned the 9lb rise would be enough to stop this one today plu will probably be pestered for the lead too by the FAV and Kameko Fever.

The FAV won a better race LTO by a similar margin and was only given a 6lb rise albeit over 7f, todays race is over 8f.

The other one is Inferno from the in-form Bethell yard, has been racing in better company than this lot and looked like the retained Blinkers & Tongue Tie had an impact LTO.

Tricky little race though.

Thanks trecelyn and Sullybomb, I thought it was just going to hang on but then I saw the jockey on the winner had dropped his whip, so maybe shouldn't have been that close.

Redbud Sixteen - 8.35 Newbury.

Showed improved form last and bolted up by 6½ lengths.

She’s bred to improve for the step up in trip.

Hope to see her lead again and will be hard to pass.

Good to see Harry Vigors is on her instead of Tiger who he rode last time.

Currently 3.9 Betfair.

Golden West - 5.05 Carlisle.

A lot of water has flowed under the bridge since it was sent to France to race against Calandagan.

But I thought its comeback run for new trainer Tim Easterby was very promising.

It's the type who needs a stiff finish, a pace to aim at and a race where the front-runners overcook it.

I think the Carlisle hill will suit it very well.

Currently 13/1 Betfair.

Hi Larry, yes I did give WDS a good looking at but at the prices, (even though now it is looking weak) I thought mine showed lots of promise in its last run despite some minor hindrance late on.

Good luck with yours also.

A Quiet day for me and only the Listed race of interest. However, although not betting in the race had a look at Trends . B billybob and Larry Larry , both your horses show up , so hope at least one you collects

Looking at how you choose your Trends Chesham Chesham . How far is it wise to go back , i sometimes think that Training , different set of jockeys etc etc was so different 20 years ago that it might have not much bearing on 2010 onwards ? There is so many Categories too !!

I take no praise in picking an odds on winner but I love the challenge of seeing potential winners weeks in advance. I have a list of over 200 horses to follow which I don’t back blindly so I miss some big priced winners(Almeraq on Saturday 🤬) but also miss plenty of losers 👍🏿
