Will post some fancies here from time to time, though not from any system as such, just from form study really.

Will not be giving detailed reasoning due to time constraints but will have done the legwork rather than just throwing darts.

Sel. 1 - Fairyhouse 12.25 - Kingston Girl - 10/1 e/w - Terms: 1/5 Odds, 1,2,3 places

Sel. 2 - Lingfield 12.50 - Dashing Poet - 4/1 - 8 runner Handicap - which one will be withdrawn!

Good Luck All.

Day 1 - 9¼ points profit on 7 points staked

Day 2 - Sunday 13.1.19

Sel. 5 - Southwell 1.25 - Cool Spirit - 14/1 e/w - Terms: 1/5 Odds, 3 places

(Skybet offer - paying 3 places if 6 or more runners - 7 runners currently - 16/1 available elsewhere but to 2 places)

This is no rag in my opinion - last ran 15.11.18 (last of 14 from start of race, beaten 12L ) before that 25.1.18 (won)(10 months), don't know why, possibly injured, can't find anything, but pre 15.11.18 ran 5 times - 4 times over 5f (Tomorrows trip), 2 wins and 2 places - 1 time over 6, placed 3rd.

The furthest it was beaten was in the 6f race by 5L, the furthest it was beaten in it's 5f races was 2L, in it's very first race, a class 2 (Tomorrow class 4).

A CD winner, trained by Given it's whole career and Given's only runner at the meeting, first time up on it for P. J. McDonald. This is a very tough race, but at the above offer, it's a bet I like.

I forgot to say on starting the thread, all win bets to a single point and each way bets are a point each way, for the sake of simplicity rather than recording my own actual stakes.

Good Luck All.

Sel. 6 - Punchestown 1.45 - Market's Field - 11/4

Sel. 7 - Southwell 1.55 - Great Hall - 14/1 e/w - Terms: 1/4 Odds, 2 places

(This horse owes me nothing - ran up 3 wins on the trot 2 years ago - First run at the track for an older horse - 2 gangsters - M Quinn & F Norton - There's a flat race left in this fella. Tomorrow???)

Sel. 8 - Southwell 2.30 - War Of Succession - 30/1 e/w - 365 Enhanced Terms: 1/4 Odds, 4 places

Sel. 9 - Southwell 2.30 - Frangarry - 30/1 e/w - 365 Enhanced Terms: 1/4 Odds, 4 places

(Newcombe's only 2 runners at the meeting, both in the same race, too many reasons why I'm backing these 2 (mostly bad), will exchange dutch back them win and place, but for thread purposes will use above)

Good Luck All.

6th of 7 and only beat home the horse that dwelt in the stalls, up there from the get go and then died a death.

I mention above that this was it's second run back after 10 months off, that I suspected might have been down to injury, but really didn't have a clue as to why. Will stick with this horse for awhile, as any flicker of it's previous form will see it win/place at a big price.

Can anyone tell me anything as to why the 10 months off?

I fell for it again!

Pattern of Quinn having horses normally with class/form way above anything the other horses in the race have even come near, running like dogs(is being kind) where it's obvious the jockey isn't moving a muscle throughout the entire race. Always small fields, where a couple of tenners will bring prices down, always well backed just before the off eg 25's to 16's that sort of range, more than likely connections to show they were backing it and draw others in, find out who's laying these horses, more than likely at a couple of arms lenght and you can bet a couple of tenners outlay in back bets, has caught some fish on the lay side. Franny had a later ride a non runner so Dougie rode it, poor unfortunate, Franny has to hide his ability to make a horse look bad, it's natural for Dougie, there's no ability there to begin with.
