Sorting A Card Out

Good start, T Tufnel.

I've only had a superficial look at the Ebor but the one that interests me most is Tarriance. Ostensibly no chance from a VDW perspective, given the last run, but noting the dates of his runs this year, and that he won the Melrose last year, a possible interpretation is that he has been laid out for today and lto was a prep run. Probably miles off but we'll soon see.

ps

We did, and plainly the VDW approach was right re Tarriance and my idea wholly wrong - for a few minutes the idea that a £60k race had been used as a prep run felt inspired!

Back to the sprints.

Can't quite believe my last 3 bets have all been done in a photo at 16/1, 13/2 and 6/4 :(

And Sondad of course had the classic in out in out form figures to add insult to injury.

And the last race pair both bomb out with the fav winning it.

What started out as good day ended in 3 near misses and a loss of just over a point.

If only one of those York photos had worked out it would have been a good day.
If only Rodriguez hadn't dropped his whip on HR when looking the winner.
If only Shoemark had got FAD up.
If only I'd put Sondad, one of those in out in out performers I look for, in my book.
If only eh?

If only I hadn't responded to that bloody Colin Davey flyer.
If only my first few bets had lost.
If only I'd realised what a gullible fool I was am.
If only I hadn't learned that insane loss retrieval method.
If only I could control my impulsive alter ego.
If only I'd told the ones I loved that I loved them.
Yeah... if only.

If the market is so perfect at off as clearly proved on here it is spot on they say, then if you get value you must win so if you bet any horse 1 sec before off your not getting value but your also not getting no value so why wont you break even just like must win with value or must loose with no value.

Wrong thread :D

I've just joined your club, T Tufnel. Been "nosed" out of a double figure winner, which the Betfair photo finish odds had 1.56 against the 2.56 eventual winner. The place element meant I won on the race, but not nearly what I would have if the result had gone the other way.

Some days ....

It's tough to take. Nice price for a class/form though in that sort of class of race.

If I had had a bet today, which I didn't, in the sprint handicap at Brighton, lightning would have struck on consecutive days - the class/form horse came second by a nose.
I considered two at Deauville today, but couldn't get the covers on either to hit my minimum price. Both came 2nd, so that would have been a waste of time.

JennyK JennyK and BC BC Likewise I didn't have a bet today as I simply had too much on before racing to do any checking. After yesterday's feast of good races, today was unlikely to have as much appeal.

I did think yesterday that Notable Speech had similarities to when I backed him to win the Sussex following a below par run at Ascot. I probably didn't need Ten Bob Tony in the book given their prices at Ascot.
