18:00 Chelmsford City – Class 6 – 1m

Selection: Blue Eclipse

Blue Eclipse is taken to make a bold showing back at Chelmsford, a track where he has already demonstrated clear aptitude. He shaped better than the bare result last time despite early interference and now returns to his last winning surface and distance. With scope for improvement at a workable mark and a race setup that should suit his running style, he appeals as the strongest all-round candidate in the field.

18:30 Chelmsford City – Class 6 – 7f

Selection: Kessaar Power

Kessaar Power is a reliable Chelmsford specialist and is fancied to go well returned to his favoured venue. A multiple course winner, he consistently performs to a higher level here than elsewhere and is well suited by the likely steady tempo in this small field. His proven effectiveness under these conditions gives him a clear edge over less dependable rivals.

19:00 Chelmsford City – Class 5 – 6f

Selection: Lazzar

Lazzar arrives in excellent form and looks well placed to continue his progression. He has shown a strong turn of foot in recent wins and is well suited by Chelmsford’s 6f layout, where tactical speed is often decisive. With his confidence high and conditions again in his favour, he sets a solid standard in this contest.

19:30 Chelmsford City – Class 5 – 1m5f

Selection: Must Believe

Must Believe is selected on the back of his consistent recent performances and his suitability to this trip and surface. He has been running well in similar company and appears to possess the tactical pace required for a race that may not be strongly run. As a progressive four-year-old, he is preferred to more exposed stayers in the field.

20:30 Chelmsford City – Class 4 – 1m2f

Selection: Time Tested

Time Tested looks the standout on his record at Chelmsford, having repeatedly shown his best form over this course and distance. He produced a career-best performance when winning here recently and remains well suited by the track’s demands, particularly his ability to quicken off an even pace. With proven Class 4 form under identical conditions, he commands maximum respect.

20:30 Wolverhampton — Midnite Are Upping The Betting Game Handicap (Class 6, 5f)

Colors Of Freedom
looks the one to side with in this low-grade sprint. A proven three-time course-and-distance winner, he continues to run consistently well and is ideally suited by conditions once again. His inside draw should allow him to secure a prominent, rail-saving position, which is often a decisive advantage over this trip at Wolverhampton. With his overall profile aligning strongly with both track demands and race type, he sets a clear standard.

S Sol Ski good write up mate. He's re-opposing Rogue de Vega on 5lb better terms than when losing 1 and three quarters two weeks ago over CD. He is drawn in stall 4 of the 7 runners though, and I think R de V's draw is actually going to help him overcome that disadvantage at the weights. Probably the two have it between them, I'd oppose him but good luck and I'll be pleased for you if I'm wrong.

Nice to see new posters having a tilt.

LING 17/01/2026.

13:15 LingfieldSky Safari is preferred to the short-priced favourite as she brings proven higher-class form at Lingfield, having landed a Listed race here last time, and remains open to further improvement now stepping up in trip. While Morrophore is respected after a recent C&D win, she is priced as if improvement is guaranteed, whereas Sky Safari offers a stronger class edge, tactical versatility in a likely steadily-run race, and markedly better value in a competitive Class 2 handicap.

KEMP 19/01/2026.

Kempton 3:38

Court Drive is taken to land this Class 4 6f fillies’ handicap. A proven course-and-distance performer, she has repeatedly run to a higher level than her mark suggests, most notably when narrowly denied in similar company here earlier in the winter. Her recent form contains several hidden positives, including wide trips and late headway, and she now returns to Kempton with an ideal low-middle draw that should allow Luke Morris to secure a handy stalking position in a race lacking obvious early pace. With conditions, track bias and race setup all firmly in her favour, she looks the most solid and reliable option in the field.

WOLV 19/01/2026.

Wolverhampton 7.00pm

Zoulu Warrior appeals as the solid, progressive option in a race where several arrive with either patchy recent form or questions around pace/position. He’s thriving on the AW at this trip, arriving off back-to-back wins and repeatedly showing a strong change of gear late, while his stall 1 looks a major plus at Wolves where getting a rail-saving run and holding a handy pitch is often decisive. With Billy Loughnane back on and a profile that suggests he’s still improving within this grade, he looks the most reliable blend of current form, track suitability and race-shape resilience.

Jim Goldie is always hard to figure out and tomorrow puts Water Of Leith up against Zoulu Warrior.

Looks a race to leave alone but hope that you collect

TF Report
Time: 1m 13.23s Closing Sectional: (2f): 24.65s (97.6%)
Overrounds: Industry SP 122%, Betfair SP 102.6%
A pretty good race for the grade, a couple of 3-y-os at the top of their games fighting it out having always been towards the fore in a race run at a sound pace, while the fourth caught the eye closing up late on under tender handling.
ZOULU WARRIOR (IRE) found further progress to follow up on the back of a small rise in the weights; prominent, pushed along 2f out, led last ½f, kept on; should remain competitive, but will be faced with a step back up in grade after this.
CLOVER TIME found one too good for the fourth time in a row but ran a cracker given the hot pace he contested from a wide stall and can surely break his duck before too long, especially with the drop to 5f set to suit him at least as well; soon led, raced freely, pushed along over 1f out, headed last ½f, no extra late on.
MOOSTAR backed up previous effort ridden with more restraint and shouldn't be much longer in getting off the mark for current yard; mid-field, headway halfway, pushed along 2f out, one paced; will remain of interest.
WATER OF LEITH (IRE) seems to be building up to something and very much caught the eye back up in trip, his claimer subjecting him to tender handling even once in the clear (rider suspended for 10 days); steadied at the start, held up, travelled well, short of room home turn, belatedly pushed along final 1f, ran on, not given at all a hard time; was a winner from 5 lb higher mark around this time last winter and he looks one to back next time.

Just had a look at the race for interest and its style of running i am not sure the low draw will suit it water of leith mulrennan there and not on it tells me get an other couple of pounds of its back then wait for newcastle with decent draw.
