Top display from Bingyu, couldn't miss with his pots from anywhere on the table. Never seen Trump so angry for a long time, swinging his cue at his own misses on tough pots. Great semi final in store against Ronnie tomorrow. Selby looked good to 2-0 but that fired Ronnie up and Selby had few responses. He has been a little below his best this week but would still be good enough against most bar the top 6 but Ronnie showing close to his best of old.
 
Three Chinese players and Ronnie make the semis over 11 frames tomorrow.

Xiao Guodong has won the last 2 Wuhan Opens and shows his love for the event but will need to be in peak form to compete with the now guaranteed World Number 1, on official ratings, Zhao Xintong. He should hold the number 1 position until after the World Championship at least now as no points to come off until then. Un the other semi I nearly have the perfect 50/50 match, should be worth getting up for at 7am tomorrow!

Finals day over 19 frames between the World number 1 and number 32. Both of course artificially low on world rankings as only just over 1 seson rankings for both due to not being on the full tour 2 seasons ago. Zhao has won all 6 of his previous ranking finals and Chang lost the Scottish Open last season when he was like a rabbit stuck in the headlights.

Two of the 3 top Chinese players now set to be the future of the game. Chang has been at his very best this week and Zhao never looked troubled, especially after the intervals in his games. No doubt there will be more Chinese youngsters who progress or kick on from their current levels, but these 2 and Wu Yize look likely to dominate the bear future. With Xiao Guodong and Zhang Anda moving up a gear in the last 3 seasons or so and Si Jiahui showing signs of making it, the Chiinese domiantion of snooker is ever increasing.

Should be a great final.
