Day 4 and all 3rd round games today. Scott Donaldson lost to Chinese amateur Chen Ruifu in the biggest shock.

In the 3rd round games Ryan Day was beaten by David Lilley and Maguire well beaten by Highfield with some high breaks. Brecel started slowly a usual but maintained his efforts to beat Clarke 6-5 and with his new coach will surely have a better season this year.

Last day of qualifiers for tomorrow, China Open best of 11. Winners join the top 16 in China later in the season with £10,000 and ranking points for the winners guaranteed. Lisowski v Chang game of the day but plenty interesting. A,ateur Chen Ruifu continues in the event with a great chance as his rating goes upwards quickly due to lack of games played.

China Open qualifying completes with the last 32 in a couple of months, after a couple of random wildcard rounds.

Effort of the day was Chang Bingyu, a little below his Shaun Murphy demolition last season but 8 half centuries, only 1 became a century as he dismissed Lisowski 6-1. But there were plenty other great efforts - Bingham whitewashed Brecel who was in his worst shape, Selt beat Carter in a decider, Noppon back to something like his best after last year struggle beat Slessor 6-1, Yao Pengcheng the biggest price winner of the day, Liu Hongyu has started the season well and he whitewashed Boiko, .

Special mention though to Aaron Hill who won a decider against Gary Wilson, from 4-0 down. To better than Tom Ford won the last 6 frames against Highfield from 5-0 down.

So tomorrow and the next 4 days we have qualifiers for Wuhan Open, again in August the final stages with the selected elite again being spared qualifying. This event ahs 130 players so an extra round, with wildcards entering the 2nd Qualifying round and their games held over to Wuhan along with some 3rd qualifying round games for the top seeds.

These are the last 130 games for the first 2 and the last 128 round for the rest, the yellow ones subject to change depending on the extra round. These in play order, the first 2 in the morning, the rest in reverse order with the first at the bottom.
