Nothing to post for today having lost Fontwell and the only bet I had for Kempton (Revenue), has been scratched due to a pace rating rank value that puts the bet firmly in the losing zone.
 
Carlisle has some better racing today and has thrown up a couple of interesting runners.

Nothing for Cheltenham which has gutted me as I did really well with my picks there last season (almost 50 points IIRC), and looking forward to hopefully scoring a few more this season. Today it's back to the mundane stuff.....

All of yesterday's selections came 3rd and today the frustration continues with nothing at all making the cut from 11 horses on my shortlist. Cheltenham is tough at the moment with most all my shortlisted horses being scratched due to lack of a recent run and no supporting evidence that the horse goes well fresh. A strategy that worked well for me last year so I'm sticking to it at least for now.

Busy yesterday trying to come up with a better way to present the ratings so trying something a little different. So the overall minimum of 3.0 still stands but some of the longer ones I'm going to put a minimum limit against them that applies to that one bet only.

Every single one of the four flat bets dwelt in the stalls and blew its chances from there on. Has to just be one of those days as the chances of that happening must be enormous. Only good thing on the day is that there's nothing for Newcastle tonight.

Another PP day with only Militiades worthy of mention. Today things are looking up with some better racing starting to roll, (so I keep saying to myself), be interesting to see if things pick up cos if it does I might start ditching the early/mid week gaff meetings. We shall see. Anyway..... enough whinging and on to today.........

(Half expected Sean to be on this one as it's profile of finishing in the first two the last half dozen first time seasonal outings and back down in the weights after being hiked by the handicapper for winning by a nose), but he hasn't cos I just had a look. That's all for today. Was thinking of putting up Mr Professori in the 7.30 as a sneaky win/place qualifier in an 8 runner field, but it's now down to seven with Greatgadian taken out.
