Hi, i know your all watching football but does anybody know about or use the ts figs in the racing post.
From what i can gather the TS on the race card is adjusted to the race but what about the last 6 grid they post are these figs raw or adjusted.
Thanks in advance Donny.

The Topspeed (and the RPR) adjust the raw speed figures to 12 Stones over the jumps. (10 Stones on the flat). They look at the raw TS within 12 months relating only to the racetype. ie: Hurdles raw figure if a hurdle race, Chase raw figure if a chase race.

Swindon Village below, highest TS in a hurdle race within 12 months was 114, carries 11-0 today. Add 14lbs to make it up to 12 stone = 128 Adjusted on the racecard. Equally, raw RPR within 12 months was 122, carries 11-0 today. Add 14 lbs to make up to 12 stone = 136 Adjusted on the racecard.

On the racecard, Karma Police has no adjusted TS or RPR as it ran in a NHF race and PTP race and no hurdle figures to carry forward.

One issue with using the adjusted rating on the racecard, is it doesn't compare the going or distance where the raw rating was achieved. Also, the highest TS or RPR could have been achieved 11 months ago.

I prefer to focus on the last 6 races and use the best raw figure, then adjusted to todays weight.
