Online tipsters

Newbie
Morning all. I’ve seen countless online accounts for people promoting to be the next best tipster. Has anyone here used these people and if so what recommendations do you have? Any good or bad experiences?

I think you can answer your own question by asking one.

Why would anyone ask for money for racing tips?

If they were any good they would be able to make money from backing them.

That’s it in a nutshell.

If someone can make money backing horses, why wouldn't they sell the tips, after they'd got their own money on? After all, they've already done the hard work for themselves. A few extra minutes emailing them out could easily double the money they were already winning.

It would irk me someone else benefitting from my hard work for comparatively very little, so there would have to be a big gain for giving out info.

One option is to have your money on well before you email out your tips, and provided you are any good or at least have good pr, then the price should drop, then you can green up or hedge to the point where you break even on a loss and a profit on a win.

But too many claim success on things like 'advised prices' which imo is pish.
Show the screenshots in oddschecker of the actual prices available when tips are posted, ie those anyone can get, and only base claims on that.

I'd recommend anyone thinking about tipsters to first read, "How to Find a Black Cat in a Coal Mine - The Truth About Sports Tipsters" by Joseph Buchdahl

If fact I can see nothing better than letting everyone know your tips online if you are a popular tipster.
steps assuming you can get on
1 back horse you are going to tip with one of the bookmakers
2 tip the horse online
3 sit back and watch as your followers push the price down
4 lay on the exchanges for guaranteed profit
5 relax with a beer as you watch the race

and some of the cheeky b’s even charge for the tips as well
Look at the likes of Hugh Taylor, he could make money on every horse he ever tips up, in fact it would be silly not to
plus the wages from ATR , luvvly jubbly
