my placepot

i have had a look at Carlisle today . there is no real shorties to get beat so this suggests the Divi wont be great but i have a few days off so he who dares and all that !

i have narrowed the field down ..
1. 1 , 5 , 11
2. 5
3. 3 , 4
4. 6 , 7 , 8
5. 4 , 6
6. 7 , 8 , 10
throw these into my perming software and i get this

I also like the shape of the meeting at the moment, hopefully no more non runners so I like to play this strategy , top loading a couple of races to maybe get a larger slice.
1. 1 , 2 , 5 , 9
2. 5
3. 3
4. 2 , 3 , 4 , 6 , 7
5. 6
6. 4
20 @10p.

I worked a Carlisle quad-4 yesterday night, for my archiving purposes and it goes as follows, in 20 lines:

2 / 6-2 / 4-6 / 4-6
2 / 11-8 / 4 / 4
3 / 6-2 / 4-6 / 4-6
12 / 6 / 4 / 4-6
12 / 6 / 6 / 4

Simon seems to double the stakes on some horses. Is that any good ? I have n't really thought about it.
I 'm sorry but I don't do all six legs to make a placepot also.
I 'll try to remember this for the next days.

cosmicsports cosmicsports , the bigger perm is a piece of software I have that throws up some perms. these are single lines. it is just an example of differing ways to play the placepot. I then decided to also play another perm at the same meeting which shows another way of playing the placepot . obviously whatever way you play it you need to have the right horses in the perm and for them to line up if you play the single line perms.

cosmicsports cosmicsports afew non runners in your quadpot.
you can follow the pot here.

I see.
That's because I did it late yesterday.
12 noon from now on.
It may make some sense to play lines at different stakes.
To make the payouts equal for example.
Only in that case the condensation does n't work really. To play my 20 lines as above you 'd have to play them one by one. I can zip them to XML format but do the terminals take them ?

One time I won 6000.
There was a mistake.
In the first leg there was an outsider I rather fancied so I said let's make that into a win-4 as well.
The second leg was easy.
Now in the third leg I check my ticket and I see a donkey.
So I go to the girl in the counter and say "look". She says "nothing can be done now". I say to her "ok, but let's see who made the mistake". So we search for the rough piece of paper, but nothing, vanished.
But the rider of the donkey was Fredric Johannson.
So he takes the lead from the gates and leaves the rest two race courses behind !
The last leg was easy again, so I pop out a sort of ready rackonner and work out the dividend as 2500.
But 6000 was announced. The 300 I gave to the girl.
A similar thing happened to another one I was told, with a six-pot. But that one was wild and he grabbed the lady from the throat as well, I was told. In the end the mistake made him richer by 65000 and he gave 5000 to the woman.

cosmicsports cosmicsports I use Tote Ireland a lot because they allow you to place minimum stake 10p single lines such as post 242 but in the UK in the shops you can actually use 5p stakes which is great for big perms.
can you not sign up to Tote Ireland where you are ?

We have bet365-paddy-sportingbet. Interwetten too, but they don't do races. Some other legal bookies are too small.
We can play placepot with Tote UK though. Tote Ireland no.
The betfair site is not forbidden but display "404 page" - they cannot take us as customers so they prefer to economise the bandwidth.
Bwin site is forbidden. Bwin used to offer continuous racing program but now they don't even have racebook anymore.
With Hill's and Betdaq.com we don't bet but they are reachable.
The authority is a bit crazy. They even banned the site of the French who are partners to the national company at one stage. So I call and say "what are you doing ? you banned your own partners ?". The man said "ho-humm this is something to ponder about, indeed" but it took them six months to lift that ban.

One question.
How are your placepot tickets actually validated ?
In Greece we had until last year a certain type of terminal machine that could accept printed tickets as well as electronic submission. But they never got round to make the additional interface required. So you had to give a rough piece of paper and the attendant keyed the selections in. Now they took away those terminals altogether and we have an Italian made terminal that does n't take pieces of paper either.
So how does it actually work in the UK ?
Many years ago computers were left at night to print stuff. A clever computer salesman downtown discovered the pack of fags trick that allowed coupons to be kept in place without the cut sheet feeders tearing them up. So I think it's important to have good machines.
