5.15 Southwell - Fariha 11/2

Like the look of Fariha in this one at what i consider a decent price , hasnt really shown much since her re appearance , and the only glimmer of a decent showing came here at Shuvvel over todays CD when she was third of thirteen. That was her sole start here , and despite having yet to win at todays distance a return here could prove to be fruitful. The fact that the trainer goes for the blinkers for the first time is another thing that makes me think a decent run could be on the cards. Willie Haggas is bang in form at the moment with a 30% strike rate over the last couple of weeks and the fact he sends just this one here , where he enjoys a 25% strike rate , caught my eye , as did the fact that Kieran Shoemark takes the ride for the first time and hes riding well at the moment and has a 20% strike rate when coming here to play his trade.

5.45 Southwell - Lauras Breeze 11/2 / Anif 9/1
A couple catch my eye in this one , firstly Anif who has a decent record over this evenings CD , a win and two places from five runs. Was a poor sixth last time but i think this drop back to 7f will aid the cause and obviously the return to a cause where hes done well in the past cant hurt matters either. Has won from higher marks than todays and doesnt look to badly drawn , Tom Eaves in the plate and hes won four times on the horse (and placed a further three times) , if the return here helps i think he could go close. Lauras Breeze is the other one i like the look of , and like Anif i think a return to 7f will help rather than hinder he chances. Won on only try over this evenings CD and has won / placed six times from seventeen runs over this distance , has won off higher than todays mark and she looks well berthed to me. Liam Bailey and Billy Garritty have teamed up to good effect over the last three weeks with a 33% strike rate , at the current odds id say shes worth a go.

6.30 Wolverhampton - Rock Opera 17/2 / Tan Rapido 13/2
A few of these look as though they hold decent chances but im siding with a pair of them against the field. First one of those is Rock Opera who arrives in decent form , was second to the re opposing True Promise last time but is better off at the weights here this evening so im hoping that he can reverse that form here. One from one over CD , and promising young claimer Warren Fentiman in the saddle for the first time caught my eye , been riding well lately and when teaming up with Richard Fahey the pair have a 23% strike rate over the last 21 days, Cant see him being far away when it matters most. Tan Rapido is the other fancy i have , a consistent sort to date , ran well enough when third last time after 169 days off , and should come on for that run now the cobwebs have been blown away. Placed on sole start here and over todays distance , only had the five runs to date (one win and three places) so chances are theres plenty more to come.

7.00 Wolverhampton - Alafdhal 9/2 / Smasher 7/1
Alafdhal has been in great form , having been out of the first three home only once in his last seven outings and given his CD form here i think theres every chance that he could get his head in front for a well earned win here tonight. Two wins and two places from his five runs to date over CD , has won from higher than todays mark and the fact that Rossa Ryan is back in board (two wins / one place - four rides) makes me think that a big run could well be on the cards. Smasher also catches my eye in this as all three of his wins to date have come over this evenings CD , Michael Attwater here for just this one today and jockey Paddy Bradley has ridden him to victory on all those CD wins (also has two places on the horse as well) , looks well drawn and i can see him going close.

7.15 Southwell - Beneficiary 10/1
Another one for the Liam Bailey & Billy Garritty combination , had three runs since coming back from just over 200 days off , second of those was his best effort and that was over tonights CD , when he was a sound enough second , that gave him a CD record of one win and two places from four outings and im hopeful of a solid showing at a decent price. Below his last winning mark i think if hes on song he can definatley trouble the principals. Billy Garritty has a decent record aboard him , two wins and two places from eleven rides , and is another that looks fairly well drawn to my untrained eye.

8.00 Wolverhampton - Simiyann 4/1
I like the chances of Simiyann in this one , could only manage last of five at Kempton last time but that was a class 2 handicap and i think dropped back down to the calmer waters of this class 4 will see him give a better showing , in the four runs before his last race he had figures of - 2,1,2,1 with the two wins coming here at Wolverhampton , one over tonights CD. Won over CD by 5 lengths back in October (penultimate race) and i cant see any reason why he shouldnt be bang there once again. Richard Kingscote takes the ride and hes yet to be unplaced on the horse in his three rides to date.

Hi Donny Donny

No dont mind the input , much appreciated . Hopefully he can go close at a decent price .. also seriously considered Rajwaan at 16s , but decided that one had more negatives than positives

I have Beneficiary about 4th in my ratings and I have the fav Fortunate Star top, it's on in 5 mins so we'll soon see !

pawras pawras , ive always liked the AW to be honest , had some nice touches over the years .. cant say i know alot about Dundalk though as i tend to leave the Irish racing alone , hard enough trying to find winners this side of the water lol

Bets 9 .. Won 1 .. -2.50

Well just the one winner to start off with , not great , but a couple were placed , and if one of those had got their heads in front then would of come out ahead on the day , as it is we start off with a loss but not a major one and hopefully can scrape a winner or two tomorrow and come out showing a profit.

1.10 Lingfield - Warren Hill 4/1 / Con Te Partiro 4/1

Two onside for me in this one , first one is Warren Hill who was a fair fifth of eleven last time after a break of 65 days , hopefully she'll strip fitter for that run and can show us a better running here today. Won on her only start over todays CD back in November of 2023 , and thats her sole win on the all weather to date. Roger Varian is bang in form at the moment with a 34.1% strike rate in the past month , and its worth taking note of anything he sends here as he has a 23% strike rate overall. James Doyle takes the reigns for the first time and he too has been in solid form with a strike rate of 25.7% over the last four weeks , and like the trainer he does well when coming here to ride with a 21% strike rate overall. And when the trainer / jockey have paired up over the last three weeks they come away with a 50% strike rate. Cant see her being far away. The consistent Con Te Partiro is my other selection , has won two of his last three starts since coming back from a break and has won five of his eight starts this year (coming second in another two and fourth in the other one) , so obviously in fine fettle and i cant see any reason why he shouldnt give his running again and be in the thick of things. That last time out win was over this CD making his record over todays track and trip two outta two , and i think he;ll be wanting to keep that record intact and make it 3 / 3 this afternoon. Neil Callan has ridden him four times resulting in two wins and a place , and it didnt go un noticed that Richard Spencer has just this one here this afternoon.

3.25 Lingfield - My Mate Mike 5/1
My Mate Mike catches my eye in this one , can excuse his last time seventh as he was up in classand hes much more of a 7f horse as his record suggests and i dont think the 6f suited last time out , before that last run racked up a nice brace over 7f , over this afternoons CD and then at Wolverhampton over todays distance. So im hopeful that that last run was a blip and that todays race can see him resume winning ways here back here and dropped in class. Does well over todays CD with two wins and a place from his four runs to date , looks decently drawn , trainer in tip top form with a 26.1% strike rate in the last four weeks along with a healthy profit of +£35.75. Liam Keniry in the saddle and hes won on him twice to date , should be there or therabouts i feel.

4.30 Southwell - Bernard Spierpoint 8/1
Like the chances of Bernard Spierpoint in this one at what i consider a tidy price. Since leaving Charlie Wallis' yard back in August (and being returned to The Dazzlers stables) he quickly racked up a trio of wins , his last three runs havent been quite as good but he hasnt been far away in any of them which makes me think hes still in form and could possibly show up well here. Two wins and a place over this CD , and Darryl Holland sends just this one here this afternoon. Been in decent form over the last month with a 20% strike rate and profit of +£7.83. Jason Watson seems to get on well with the horses with two wins and a place from his five rides to date and i think this one is well worth a punt at the odds.

7.30 Southwell - Jazzy Angel 15/2 / Beyond Words 6/1
Another race where i wanna be double handed , in fact could be three handed as quite liked Triggermans chances as well but settled on the selections named. Jazzy Angel is the first of the brace , comes into this on the back of a 3/4 length win over Al Shabab at Wolverhampton back in October and despite being 2lb higher here i think she can make her presence felt at a course she acts well round with a record of one win and one place from her two runs over CD. Harry Eustace has a 25% strike rate in the last two weeks and it caught my eye that he sends just this one here tonight , where he has a decent enough 13% strike rate. Kaiya Frazer also comes here for just this one , and his 3lb claim will help to offset that 2lb penalty , rode the horse to her last time win and has ridden her in her last three races giving them figures of 2,10,1 .. should be in the mix when it matters most. Top weight Beyond Words is the other selection , won a shade cosily in her penultimate start over this CD , beating Fools Rush In by 2 1/2 lengths , only managed seventh last time but that can be excused as she failed to get a clear run so im hopeful of a better showing here this evening. Jason Tate has a 20% strike rate over the last three weeks , and he does well when sending his horses here with a 27.5% strike rate overall alongside a profit of +£33.87. This season that strike rate improves to 34.8% (and showing a profit of +£23.00) , Rossa Ryan in the plate and he has yet to win or place in his two rides on the horse to date but hes been amongst the winners lately and has a 16% strike rate when coming to Shuvvel to ride overall. Hopeful of a big run.

8.30 Southwell - Van Zant 25/1 / Alexander James 13/2
A couple of decently priced ones in the lucky last , firstly Alexander James who hasnt won for a while but ran his best race for some time when third at Redcar at he beginning of the month , and as hes been tumbling down the weights im thinking that he may well be able to take advantage of this kinda mark as hes won off higher. Has won and placed over tonights CD and the draw and class all look suitable to me. Sam Fielden in the hot seat and hes placed on his only ride to date on the horse. Not a shoe in by any stretch of the imagination but if on song i think hes more than capable of taking a hand in the finish. Van Zant is the other one im having on side , at a tasty 25s (although its possible this one could drift tbh) , hasnt shown anything since returning from a lay off in his three races so far this term but i think the fact he seems to do well here - a win and two places from five runs over CD and a win and four places from seven runs overall at the course - gives me hope of a revival tonight. Another factor is that Ruth Carr is in decent form at the moment , 14% strike rate over the last couple of weeks and she had a double up from the three she sent out yesterday , and in these type of races and at these sort of odds you can never discount her runners imho. James Sullivan takes the ride and he had a winner yesterday for the trainer and has a win and six places to his name to date when riding the horse. Others come into the race with better looking chances admittedly but at the 25s im willing to take a chance on him outrunning his odds and going close.
