There are some 15 qualifiers today plus a further 7 Dodgy Profiles.
This number of selections is obviously unsustainable and unless some sort of filter is applied this method will never ever achieve a profit.
I'm going to call time on this thread and re-examine the selection process. I remain convinced that there is massive potential in this method - it's just a question of finding it.
The 'Dodgy Profiles' have a superb record and I'm more than happy with the way these are going.
Hopefully back before long with an improved selection method.
Have done a ton of back-checking trying to identify a consistent viable method of finding future winners using the excellent LTO figures supplied by Alien.
While the system does find plenty of winners it is not sufficiently consistent - plus the majority of picks are short-priced overbet horses at the head of the market - to make it worthwhile. I'll continue checking/monitoring in future to see if there is an edge to be had.
What did stand out was that horses who won LTO running next at a course where historically there was a less than 6.5% chance of success did incredibly well - as Lays. I started highlighting such horses earlier in this thread as 'Dodgy Profile' horses and while there were some suicidal prices, their record was exemplary.
The record of such runners when layed to place was equally consistent although with a slightly reduced strike rate. This was balanced out by a much more managable BFSP. There's not a bet (lay) every day but, on several occasions there has been as many as 9 on one day, so we'll see how it goes starting tomorrow.
