Kelso 340

Smudge

Yearling
Hi all, haven’t been on for a long time, been too busy for racing!
I looked at Cheltenham last week and gave me a boost to look at racing again.
I managed to check out Kelso races last night and wondered why Getaman was so short in the betting. It doesn’t look a very deep race but evens for the horse seems very wrong. I would be tempted to lay to back at that price or just let the lay run. Golan Cloud won it last year and would be a reasonable win bet. Just my thoughts for the race 😀

I was going to post about this ... looks like all David Jeffrey's runners have been backed in!

Notnow Seamus 20/1 -> 11/8

Perfect Predator 10/1 -> 1/1

Getaman 12/1 -> 5/4

Blood Eagle 66/1 -> 5/4

Gamble going on which i think i will be laying!

The bookies are trying to recover their money from Cheltenham, Sky Bet put up a coup of 5 horses from the yard of D J Jefferys and this is one of them.

Just looking at my speed figures if Getaman top speed figure 35 can get within 10 lengths of Golan Cloud top Speed figure 75 he has run well, in fact, I will go as far to say if the trainer has even one winner he is a genius.

Note The Gold Bug and Getaman are in same race and both been backed ... May be wrong but if this was a true gamble then you wouldn't have both shorten unless they are going for a then to both win lol

Well, its seems its easy to make money!
The best four-fold at the original prices was best at 180998/1, so its no surprise that the alarm bells rang at all the bookies.
Doesn't take too many pounds to get them worried!
Is this the way forward? Pick a stable with 4 or 5 selection at double figured odds and back them with most of the major bookies (overnight, to get them twitching) and create major liabilities, which they have to react to, and watch the prices drop and Lay on the exchange!

Simples, but i'm sure your account will be restricted to 1p bets :rofl:

Interesting that Sky bet removed the cash out facility due to the gamble!
