The revolving forum door is spinning and yet I have so far refused to enter and not before there are satisfactory answers given.
dave58 - suggests I am in the wrong place and yet fails to accept a horses pathway can be obstructed or the rider being human can make errors.
dave58 - did not notice I had thanked Arkroyal for pointing me in another direction.
I really am not sure how to wind this posting up other than to say "over to you".
OK Yoda, I now know you're a pal of Ark and maybe 'testing the water', but to be fair I think you were pushing things a bit, and even your first sentence here comes across as a bit big-headed, don't you to be honest ? You want apologies before you deign to join us ? - sorry, but I think people genuinely thought you were a mug roulette player and were being deliberately brutal to try and make you see some sense.
As for my personal responses ? - I can't actually see that I should have to justify them, but if it makes you happy, here goes - firstly if you actually read the posts in order you'll find I advised you that you may be in the wrong place before you even mentioned horse-racing . The information I had about you was that you were interested in roulette - I advised you that you were in the wrong place as there was no provision for that in this forum. Where's the problem ? Where's the hostility ?
At no time did I ever 'fail to accept' the variances that may affect a horse race - again if you read my post I merely state that some of us can and do overcome them on a regular basis. Again, where's the problem ? Ditto hostility ? I did query your 'expertise' in horse racing - can you blame me given the evidence ?!!
I did notice that you had thanked Ark - I was reinforcing the fact that he was being helpful in response to your complaint about encountering hostility.
I still feel after reading over the thread that everyone here was trying their best to stop what they thought was a mug punter making mistakes, and as a mod I would not reprimand anyone for the responses made.
We have had recent instances of certain trolls following us onto this forum from the one we escaped from, which has put a few members on their guard, so your timing of your 'entry' and the manner of it couldn't have been worse in one sense, but despite all this I for one am prepared to stand up for all our members that replied to you in your 'mug punter' guise - there was no abuse, just (sometimes blunt) advice as far as I can see.
Over to you now, if you want to join us that's fine, if not, at least you know we speak our minds here !
