Hull City v Middlesbrough

Good luck to both sides. As I was born in East Yorkshire and will be supporting Hull City (ULL),, I feel sorry for the Southampton supporters, as, IMO, the manager has cheated them of a playoff final against Hull City. I also feel that Middlesbrough also have a well-founded argument for compensation if they lose. There are other teams that also might feel aggrieved.

I think Hull should be promoted without the need for the Final to be played. Boro lost to Southampton over 2 legs regardless of what Southampton done. Complete mess of a situation whatever the outcome, I'll be cheering Hull too. :idk:

The after match spillage is going to be very interesting. I get the feeling today's result won't be the end of the matter. Football is run by money, lawyers and committees these days and is the worse for it.

Logic then there wouldn't be a final and middlesboro would have been cheeted out of the chance, now common sense tells us this spying shit is nonsense but then why have the rule ? Nothing about this is perfect but this is the best solution imo and Hull have the opportunity to win it.

I think what you say is right T tacker cheating is cheating and breaking rules so there should be this final and i dont think the spying is nonsense either there watching there tactics and its not allowed just like a group chatting in huddle going into extra time and one of the other teams coaches walking over listening in it would be uproar so rules are rules what is nonsense is them even thinking of going over taking film of it on camara its really begs believe the club would say do that so they deserve everything they get.

'so they deserve everything they get'

The fans don't. They should be compensated. It should not be beyond the wit of these heavily financed clubs to protect themselves from so called 'spies'. I'm old enough to remember when Revie used to get Syd Owen, great player with great knowledge of the game, to produce 'dossiers' on opponents, systems, teams and individuals. Now I wonder how Syd got that information?

its a load of bollocks - but they broke the current rules so that's that - Leeds were caught at Derby in 2019 - ‘Disgraceful’—The ‘Spygate’ Scandal Rocking English Soccer

produce 'dossiers'

they have videos now, but every game has scouts from clubs all over the country making notes - Leeds scout section used to be up in the gods in the west stand with an attached scouts only tea room - it would not take a genius to compile a match day dossier

The F.A. are now investigating.

The Manager's position is untenable for sure, also, might be a further points deduction if information found to be hidden from the EFL. 12 pts?

They'll likely have to sell their better players, avoiding "doing a Leicester" could be all they could hope for next season,

Southampton were very good towards the end of the season and the players and fans didn't deserve this. Those who paid for passes and travel need to be compensated.

EFL Regulation 127 explicitly prohibits any club from directly or indirectly observing, or attempting to observe, another club's training session within 72 hours of a scheduled match between them. Introduced in 2019 following the Leeds United "Spygate" incident, the rule aims to protect competitive fairness and maintain trust between clubs
