Hobbies

Today was a new style with an 'impasto' using a small palette knife. Enjoyed the use of colours and tried to flattern the clouds out at the horizon.
It was the style Van Gogh made famous and as a first attempt the colours are pleasing and compared to some other paintings it was relatively quick :)
 
I've been looking at Poz's paintings and decided I'd share one of my hobbies with you. Poetry. I've been scribbling my own stuff for as long as I can remember.
 
A fallen tree upon the lawn,
Two foxes inspect at break of dawn,
A broken nest and injured kin,
The foxes dine here, instead of the bin.

My lawn! cries the man of the house,
Anger shared with his heartbroken spouse,
The foxes grin and walk away,
The only winners of the day.
 
A honey bee,
A sunny day,
A wasps nest,
A takeaway.
Delve in deep and raid away,
The bee robs wasp whilst at play.
 
Keep 'em coming, Squire. Can't really post some of the poems I learned as a kid, however, here's one for the coming election.

Roses are red
Violets are blue
I'm voting for ******
How about you?
 
My Hobby is Collecting and Playing Guitar. I am no Eric Clapton, but I just enjoy playing for my own pleasure and find it a good way to relax. The only audience that I play to is the Grand Kids and Wheels on The Buss and Old Macdonalds Farm go down a storm LOL

You would like the Saluda, I had to wait six months for it to be made and enjoyed looking around PJE's Workshop, everything is done by hand

a stunning piece of work there Poz Poz
the reflection in the stream is breath-taking
dunno if its just me, but when i screw my eyes up and look at it, it takes away the roughness of the paint and makes it look flawless!

Your work is better than the charlatans that are appearing in the final of this years sky arts competition "Landscape Artist of the Year 2015".

There is an art student named Sam who is through to final, who is so bad in my eyes and the judges are raving about him, he even makes the Turner
prize winners "The Pile Bricks" and "The Unmade Bed" look good.

In the semi-finals Sam produced produced a montage that reminded me of somebody wiping their ass on a piece of toilet paper.
