Happy Christmas

Not forgetting Rick Parfitt, Status Quo, that was proper guitar music.

Arkle
Indeed and we could all find the cord for Pictures of matchstick man.A mate and myself started to promote concerts renting the local church hall and Quo where one of the first we booked.Unknowns at the time the fee was £60.Others where Hawkwind and Uriah Heap. With hindsight we could have built a good business but i was enjoying the weed to much and letting people in for free.RIP Rick you leave great memories.

I am so sorry to here of all the passings i like Quo also one of their first albums Ma Kellys Greasy Spoon was super, and George Micheal he was not that old either may they R.I.P.

Yep to mick mick i see Uriah Heep Live also Very Heavy Very Humble, and Hawkind one of the greats the long version of Silver Machine i could get lost in that.

Hawkwind one of the greats the long version of Silver Machine i could get lost in that.
There manager was a lovely girl.;) It was a warm summers evening and the band where in a room changing before going on stage. One poked his head out of the window and said to some of my mates who where smoking a joint "Hey man that smells good" my mate replied "F off and tune your guitar" happy days, well sort of.!

Lol! My body is great i train around 3 hours a day, look a little older than my pic, but also like Mick my brain is working well. So i suppose still just a babe in the wood.

Is a racing forum mainly not a dating site so just enjoy the fun whatever age i say we can all stay young at heart, i have many friends all ages.

I feel like a youngster here L Lioness23 only 39 while I know who Hawkind are RIP Lemy btw another great lost this year. I spent my youth in rave tents and stuff same scene different era I think

I have come to the conclusion though we don't grow up. We just get better at pretending we are so we all fit in :) happy new year one and all :drinks:

If you click on members avatars L Lioness23 then you will find the ages of the guys who don't mind sharing their ages
If I were to guess I'd say average age on here is 50+
Being a couple of years shy of the average age for me, makes me feel like a young whipper snapper too :)

I must be old as 'Muffin The Mule ' could be shown on The BBC without alarm bells ringing over the Title, along with Captain Pugwash with his Pirate crew, 'Master Bates" and 'Roger The Cabin Boy " I think someone was Taking the Pee lol
Captain Pugwash was my fav in fact when i was older i gave one of my mates the nick name Pugwash and it stuck sounds like he had a lucky escape.

Another i named Sherman,a big fella and seeking to impress one of the girls in our crowd he told her Mick has named me Sherman i suppose its because i am built like a Tank. She looked up into his eyes and replied No John he is calling you a Wanker..............Fortunately i was not present but was informed that the whole Pub folded as Sherman issued death threats.;) With hindsight Master Bates would have proved a better choice.
