The song was written by Burt Baccarat and Elvis Costello

Kristen was Annie in the Original Broadway Production in 1977

This is Elvis Costello singing the song. I have the CD of the Baccarat and Costello Collaboration of songs . In fact I only heard Kristens version recently when I listened to a Radio six program and then checked out the film that it came from. ‘Grace Of God ‘ Quite a good film, mostly set in the sixties

I discovered today that 50 years ago Bryan Ferry was my neighbour I lived at 29 Eversleigh Rd Battersea he lived at 21 Eversleigh Rd, in 1971 when he lived there I was only 7 so cannot recall any in depth conversations with him, I have stated elsewhere however through my mother I did have a picture taken with Jimi Hendrix & Mick Jagger in 1969 although being less than 5 at the time again no recollections of any of us being enthralling raconteurs :rofl: although I do remember going to battersea funfair on the day the picture was taken
