Flatstats Lays

Murillo ran a good race but was beaten into 3rd. Laid at 14,73 BSP, which translated into a decidedly crooked Industry SP of 8/1 (they are 'avin a giraffe!).

Bank: + 7.74 pts
 
Dream Castle finished a respectable 5th, but a successful lay so we get the cigar! Laid at 6.4 BSP

Bank: + 8.69 pts
 
Complete drifter pre race market, yet romps home doing cartwheels. Laid at 9.09 BSP.

Bank: - 7.78 pts

Seems I'm destined not to be a successful layer, so closing yet another failed trial.
 
Yes your not kidding i think the key is not necessarily the prices, although it helps to get the best ones you can close at least to ordinary sp, but mainly a good reason a horse may fail to win. So then i find it is best to work with something like hrb, i have never tried flatstats so i dont know the features on it at all, and then factor in the different elements till you can find one that for the very start wins, and has continued to do so over all those tested years and over a fair amount of trials as well.

My screen shot has packed in but sould maybe give figures like the ones above, or at most go to a 4% win rate but must give a good BF Lay profit also. Yes a check upfront is crucial to your best chances i feel.

Yes that is right hedgehog hedgehog a quitter never wins the times i have nearly turned things in and something seems to come along if i keep a positive outlook in general, personally i dont think ratings are the way to go with laying maybe with some types of win methods just my take on things.

Thanks for the comments. I'll come up with another Lay thread soon. Just need some fine tuning I reckon. I've got something in mind already, but it won't generate a lay a day.
