This is one area that doesn't get spoken about much. Bowers did write about the racing post Betting Forecast as a lynchpin to his approach. (not sure when he said use live odds market). If that aligned in some way with the OR, then there's potential for the "little gem" to appear at bigger odds than 10/1, especially if it's supported by other form factors. (BSP at those odds is sometimes 16%+ better, so an edge could certainly exist)

The good thing about any forum is to discuss different approaches, test out variations, sometimes, it's possible to get lost in the fog and come away from the original script. Having said that, bringing something up to-date with modern thinking, can be the right thing to do.

Thats correct unless he was only assessing 4y-o + races. It is the reason why I mentioned using OR’s instead of Weight, which everyone appears to now be using.
